You and me : An unfinished business

It was a normal hectic day at office for Rohit. Wednesdays are usually busier with tons of emails and calls to attend.... being done with them he thought of taking a walk outside.

It was a beautiful evening. ..sun had just set but it was not yet dark....the horizon was covered with hues of purple and orange...the perfect time for nostalgia to creep in and firm its grip on you. It was drizzling a little ..Rohit was absolutely enjoying his walk..when he heard a beautiful voice, that striking familiarity stunned and compelled him to look towards the source ..what he saw froze him.....the same twinkling eyes..the sunshine smile...those thick, black curls, which once made him forget his whole existence ..the same soft musical voice....."it is her"..he murmured. ....his unprofessed, secret love. .....Rohit skipped a heart beat.."it is her" he said to himself...

He failed to notice the twenty years, which had silently passed between them, eventually changing everything irreversibly.

A week passed by. .Rohit found himself smiling more and often.

It is mid week again, precisely Wednesday .......a pleasant evening.... ..he is out for his walk ...everything else is the same around except for his heart and eyes...they are in apprehensive search
