Back to the Greens...

The tall trees embracing each other with their smooth, rough, peeling and rotting barks with varying shades of green leaves, some still budding, emerging a fresh, limey color into the summer, whilst the grown, flatly panned leaves brushed a lush emerald under the overhead sun. The smell of pine trees mixed with the distinct aroma of fetid earth. Rustling sounds of small animals scurrying under the thick ferns and over the thousands of brittle branches and twigs… the constant sound of a breeze, gently swaying in its caress…birds twittering and flying from tree to tree. . . . humming of bees. . the gentle gurgling of a small creek and the forest hides all the animals that drink from that creek. Sunlight making polka-dots on the ground, lighting up dead tree trunks where shelf fungus grows like dinner plates for the creatures inhabiting its sanctuary.

The lush of green on the ground was relief to life increasing once life span. The fresh air never seemed so breathable and aromatic.

Dylan woke up to this beautiful nature. The selfishness of people, greed, maximising profit, thirst for power, over population made the earth a small place to live. People had cut down trees, exploited natural resources and hence was left with no greenery in the year 2500. The civilisation is left to breathe toxic air, work like machine, no fun, no play, no forest, no picnics, no fishing, no climbing trees or hills. It had turned the day into schedules. Nothing was left of nature. Trees and forests were cut down to make living places, industries, companies etc

Ocean and seas were polluted . The earth was now left with 1part of water.

In a cornered tower on the 1025th floor was an artificial wellness center with "Nature"in it.

One can pay and stay only a night there. Dylan was in the wellness center. He had never had had this feeling. . . he had never been within nature before. The green leaves spread on the ground the foliage and the mosses created a smooth bed for a peaceful night sleep. The clear water of the creek tempted him to take a never-ending shower. The freshness of air that he breathed was a relief from the smoke , dirt, germ and the masks. . . .

Dylan took a shower in the fresh and cool water of the stream, dried his hair in the cool wind instead of a dryer, he applied the moist clay of the stream on his face, plucked the moist fungus and placed them over his eyes and laid down what a relief . . . . a natural spa.

When he woke again, he could see the green leaves swaying over his head letting the sun ray play hide and seek.

Why would people destroy such beautiful nature? Such greens? Such beautiful life which Dylan now wants to live forever. . . . when suddenly a siren blew and from somewhere a robot spoke. . . . . "Your time is up, you need to leave now"

With a sad face Dylan walked through the exit to face the dystopian reality
