Breath Eluded

Wind blowing as if it will take everything on its way with it. Rain pouring down from the eternal sky as silver melted drops are being suspended. The evening sky is no longer to be seen. All that is in the view is a pessimistic vibe accompanied by the eerie atmosphere. I stood in my apartment on the 7th floor in green Blossoms and as I was drinking my hot coffee beside watching the unpleasant view outside my window, I noticed something.

A girl.

She was climbing the veneer that was only meant for external purposes and was headed directly towards the terrace.

I paused.

What would she be doing there in such disastrous weather? As I saw her it seemed to me that she is surpassing the bad weather by simply climbing higher and higher the staircase.

I dropped my cup and scrambled towards the door. The urgency with which I ran through the corridor should not come to anyone else because I couldn't focus on anything, but her. 

She was the only thing in my mind at that time. I did not doubt in my mind that she was going to jump from up there and there was nay possibility of her being recouped. If she jumped, that would be a demise for her as well as for me as I will never be able to forgive myself for not saving a girl whom I saw with my eyes heading towards the verge.

There was no point shouting and shrieking because my voice could not the aloft the brutal voice of the happenings. When I finally got to the stairs she had already reached the patio.

"Oh NO! Please No! STOP!!", I shouted with all my force so that she at least pauses. But she did not. She headed towards the verge. 

More and more.

As I finally reached her, she gradually looked my way and I saw a face that was......................

MINE!?

I stood stationary as if glued by my feet to the floor.

Why?

What?

How?

I could not make out anything.

She or I should say the girl with my countenance, held my hand and the game was only of a fraction of seconds and it was with a successive breath, she propelled me from the terrace......

All my connotations evaded from my body within a millisecond.

It was then I screamed and jerked my head up.
