Conflict.

Shilpi felt a frisky wave for a moment and gasped for her breath. In the next moment, she gave in, almost involuntarily.

As Shilpi turned her head she saw that her left hand had completely detached from her body and was lying amputated near her pillow, her huge fingers lying still. From the corner of her right eye, she was startled to see her curtailed hand now holding the ten storeyed building neighboring to hers.

Shilpi had woken up in the middle of the night and was trying hard to remember her dream. But then she wondered ... was the reality any better?
