Dreams- A Part Of Life

Dreams are a part of life,

Yours and mine equally,

I have a right to mine,

As much as you have to yours.

My dreams are not valued less,

Nor are my ambitions,

For,

I have a right to mine,

As much as you have to yours.

I have a responsibility to all,

But I have to myself too,

Being selfless is good,

But should I be one,

At the cost of my dreams???!!!

I am mother, a sister,

A daughter, a wife,

Yes,

But I am a dreamer too.

But why am I given a tag,

Of being selfish and self-centered,

If I voice my dreams,

Of something me centered.

I agree I have many roles to play,

But when I close my eyes in sleep,

I too have a right to dream,

For,

They are mine as much,

As they are yours.
