It was raining heavily when Ma got up that morning. The weather justified her laziness, but those sleeping beasts depended too much on her. Di and Dad both acted lethargic but eventually did give in to the demands of the mistress of the house. The movie was just an hour away, but recreation could never surpass food or sleep in the list of precedence for our family.

15 mins late, those 3 movie seats were finally occupied. Squeaks and giggles filled all those moments. Criticism awaited the end of the blockbuster. Dad was still dissatisfied, and he argued that present day cinematic could never match the old day theatrics.

This was followed by the most inconclusive dilemma "The restaurant choice". Nonetheless today was Di's turn to decide, so Dominoes or Pizza Hut was decided for the day, that part is still gray in my mind. Debates and jokes accompanied the starters and the main course.

Everything was so peaceful and so happy. The life of a typical happy family. Maybe the only missing element was me, but peace was more important than me I concluded as I gave in to euthanasia, blinded and handicapped after a fatal automobile mishap. It was a dream worth dying for.
