Family

Ritu was born in a very affluent family. She had both the parents who were working and always busy. She was always surrounded by maids. She engrossed herself in toys, games, gadgets etc. There was a family that lived next door. Ritu use to love visiting them. It was a large family with members going to and fro. The television was always on in their family. There was always some sort of hustle bustle in their home. Unlike Ritu's residence this family next door was filled with people, chaos and drama.

Initially her sophisticated upbringing use to look down upon the family next door. But gradually as Ritu started growing up she realised the importance of having people around her. The lonely mind and heart craved to be part of the family next door. The family next door was a Sindhi family. They loved frequent visits of Ritu and secretly wanted her to marry their son Keyur. 

Keyur's mother was always delighted to see Ritu. She loved Ritu like her own daughter. She once dared to ask Ritu's mother for marriage of Ritu and her son Keyur. After much hesitation they agreed, Ritu moved to the house next door. She was happy. However Keyur's father was not very pleased with Ritu's sophisticated way of living. He found her to be very arrogant and snobbish. He use to always taunt her. This did not go down well with Ritu for a very long period of time. But Ritu tolerated everything in silence. Ritu was now pregnant with a child. It was time for both the families to keep their differences aside and unite as one unit. 

Destiny however had some other plans. Ritu's mother passed away. Ritu's father was now lonely and desperately wanted Ritu to come and stay with him. She went and lived with him after giving birth to her child. She was tired, lonely and desperately wanted to unite with Keyur. Keyur's family was very displeased with Ritu's indifference towards Keyur's feelings. Poor Ritu was caught up between her lonely father and desperate Keyur. She just did not know what to do. She went to a therapist for counselling as she suffered from depression. 

After giving it much thought she decided to stick to her father and filed for divorce. Ritu wanted Keyur to be little more understanding and patient. Keyur was devastated. He could not believe that Ritu had filed for divorce. It broke his heart. To seek revenge he married another girl Charvi. 

Ritu once again started missing the hustle bustle of the family next door. The loneliness gripped in once again. She realised her mistake and wanted her daughter Myra to go back to her father Keyur and not go through the loneliness that she went through. But it was too late Keyur had already moved on with Charvi. Helpless Ritu begged Keyur's mother to talk to their daughter Myra regularly. Now Myra use to frequently visit Keyur's family but she somehow wanted to go back to Ritu and her grandfather.
