Finding My Soul Trails
Finding My Soul Trails
I love going out of my way, beyond what I know. Finding my way back a few extra miles, by another trail, with a compass that argues with the map.
Nights alone in homestays in remote Upper Himalayan villages where I know no one and no one I know knows where I am. Spending days with humble humans who belong to the Himalayas as my soul belongs to the trails I follow.
Looking for strange looking boulevards and floral spreads and foggy evenings, I have lost myself though I know where I am. Moments when I say to myself as feet clear a crest or around a bend, I have never seen this place before. Every nook, every corner seems new to me no matter how many times I look at it. I wonder if I ever really did know where I was, even when I was home.
I like the trails that lead nowhere, that leaves me wondering where I’m. The only way I know is to keep following my Soul Trails.
