Glowing Bulb

Looking at the glowing bulb, the old man in bare body spent the night in the depth of cold water.

Stone breaking cold of winter season tried umpteen times to break his vigour, but he didn't retreat.

Carrying the order of the king, the soldiers patrolled around the pond to check everything.

The old man in, open eye dreamt that with the rewarding money that he would receive from the king for the declared Herculean task, he would abolish his lacunae to some extent, he would at least arrange a marriage for her daughter, the spinster. With the determination, he gazed constantly on the glowing bulb among all other non-glowing bulbs on the street.

As the dew left the bosom of rose and the sun winked to bring the morning, the soldiers took the old man to King's Court. Witnessing the old man, the king enquired whether the man had really come off with flying colours or not. One of the soldiers unfolded that the old man had taken warmth from the glowing bulb and that had helped him to accomplish that uphill task.

Without listening to the plea and innocent tears of the old man, the king ordered for imprisonment.

Observing everything the clever and prudent minister didn't pronounce a single word.

The next morning in the court of the king, the minister remained absent and the messenger gave the message about the minister's mental illness. Worried about the minister, the king finished everything and with his bevy of followers and soldiers reached at minister's home. The minister saluted the king and the king questioned, 'Oh! My intelligent minister, are you ok, you are cooking rice, but the grain and water are in the topmost pot and you are heating the lower pot kept on the hearth, how can the rice can be made and you can quench your hunger?'

Kowtowing the king, the minister replied, 'Oh! My Lord, Oh, the omniscient ruler, just like the old man on that day had received warmth from the distant glowing light, the top most pot can extract warmth from the bottom one and I can prepare rice.'

Understanding the guilt, the king embraced the minister and awarded him acres of land for his enviable wit.

For the selfless job, for the innocence and for his truth, the old man was acquitted and rewarded heavily for the eradication of his poverty.
