Humanity Cries

         After marriage Mita came to live in a small town with her husband, Mrinmay. He was a history lecturer in Saharanpur college. Do she was highly educated; she didn't do any job. Their lives went on smoothly. Though it was a small town, it was very beautiful. This town was surrounded by mountains. Nature around it was so beautiful, that anyone may be hypnotized.

         One day Mrinmay didn't come back from the college. Mita finished her household works. Then she came outside. She stood there for a while. Then she thought to go for a walk. Gradually 

she came to a nearby pond Suddenly, she saw tow dolls like things were floating there. In curiosity, she went beside the pond to know about those things. She could understand everything. Perhaps any unmarried mother threw the unwanted babies in the water out of shyness or not to face any type of trouble in the society.

        She thought that, perhaps water of the pond might be polluted. So, she brought a stick to remove those, out of water. At that time suddenly a huge crowd was gathered there. Mita saw Mrinmay in that crowd He came to her and holding her hand, he took her to their home Coming inside the home, Mita looked quite upset. Mrinmay tried to understand her that was not a normal case. It might lead to be a police case. So, it was wise to leave the place.

        Mita began to think about that helpless woman,two innocent unborn babies, our social system etc. Her eyes were full of tears She asked herself whether there was no humanity.
