"Do you remember the happiest moment of your life? I hope, you do but if you don't then why don't you try to look back on it.

Let's enjoy those happy moments again.

Let's relish those happy moments again.

Let's remember those happy moments again."

I said to my grandma who was perplexed listening to my talk. Confusion was clearly visible on her face and not understanding what I meant must have irritated her.

She huffed and was about to stand up when I held her hand stopping her from vacating from the couch. She whined, I giggled.

"Don't laugh", My grandma frowned.

"Sorry! Okay, let me show you something", I apologized and quickly returned back to my intended task. Picking up my school album, I rummaged through the photos untill I found the one. I was proud of myself for finding the album even though I had to spend more than a hour searching for it.

Tears welled up my eyes, looking at the black and white passport sized photo of a girl. She was gorgeous with a set of big eyes filled with innocence, heart shaped lips and a face that was round in shape, her long black hair were parted and tied in braids. So pretty!

"Who is this?", She asked. It was my grandma's school photo. Wishing to secure the only photo which reminded her of her childhood, she asked me to guard the key to the door of her memories. She gave me her photo before she was said to be diagnosed from 'Alzheimer's disease'. I, being confident about my clumsy nature, didn't want to take any risk of loosing it. I kept her school photo in my school album.

Her memories were laid safely with my set of memories.

"Why don't you try to recall her? You know her very well. She used to tell me her school life stories and I enjoyed listening to them. Do you want me to share those stories with you?", She shook her head but as a result of my squawking she finally noded.

"She used to sit on the last bench with her other two friends. She was not the topper of her class but still managed to get good grades in all her subject. Talking to her friends about what all she did the other day used to be the favourite part of her day. Being a naughty kid, she always ended up getting in trouble.

Wandering in the corridors, spending time on the school ground - sometimes playing with her friends and sometimes observing nature, hiding her face behind the books while trying to hold back her laughter during serious lecture were the hearts and flowers which made her cry when she walked past her school-life forever."

Noticing her being interested in my talk I continued. "She told me that even though she used to get really tired physically by the end of the day, Mentally she would be on cloud nine.As she moved on in her life, got married, became a dedicated house-wife and gave birth to her child, She realized that she did have many pleasent moments in her life but nothing matched the pureness and goodness of her school life - childhood memories."

Considering that she had a small smile on her face, I craved to know if she knew whom I was talking about. That smile declared that although she might not remember all told but she must have been able to touch and feel the door to the memories which was not unlatched for a long time.

"Do you recapture what I'm talking about? Do you recollect who she is, grandma?", grabbing the photo with her shaky right hand and nodding to my question. she said, "I remember".
