Once upon a time, there lived an elephant. One day it hurt itself with a nail. The elephant's name was Lakshmi. She asked for help but no one helped her. She saw a washerman who was passing there. Lakshmi prayed for him to remove the nail. The washerman was very kind so he pulled out the nail of Lakshmi's feet. Lakshmi seemed relaxed so she thanked the washer man.  Then they catched their way. The very next day the washer man saw a bundle of clothes outside the gate of his house. It was from Lakshmi as a token of her gratitude.

After that day every day Lakshmi used to go everyone's house and collect the clothes. Then she was keeping them at the front door of the washerman. Every person noticed it and complained near the king. The washer man was called in darwar. There he confessed the truth about the clothes and assured everyone to return the clothes . From there he went to Lakshmi's house and said 'I appreciate your gratefulness but what you do is wrong. To bring others' belongings without their permission is called theft. So you  should   not  do that again". Lakshmi placed her  trunk upon  the   washerman 's hand assuring him to obey his words. After that no one complained of theft of clothes and sometimes Lakshmi was seen helping others.
