Lifeline In Lockdown

Lifeline In Lockdown

Coping with lockdown? Surviving staying in your own house? Getting bored? Tired of staying inside? Look for that lifeline in lockdown!

Don’t be sad or feel bad about it…

Just like there is a ray of hope similarly there is a lifeline in lockdown.

Spare a minute, for those who are without any necessities in hand. They are without work and money. Be it daily wage workers, laborers, a rickshaw puller, those traveling to save their own life, or those who are stuck due to lockdown away from home, they all are clueless and looking for a solution.

Rather, You should be at least thankful for having a roof on your head and food on your plate that too with family. I know many are away from family, staying separate but still under a safe roof.

This post goes out for those who might have lost hope or are surviving on bare minimums. When one door closes, another one opens. And there opens a door when I received this news from some close friends of mine. Those who came ahead with a ray of hope.

Our health workers and safeguarding police officials all are working 24 hours to control the situations. These simple souls are trying their best to be with society and doing their bits towards returning what they got from life.

Helping others can help you cope with the lockdown, My soul is overwhelmed with gratitude for those who are still trying to help and lend that one helping hand to those who are in need in these testing times. They are spreading hope with these volunteering efforts at their level.

They started making extra food within their own kitchens and this is how it started increasing to even sanjha chulha level.

Cooking from home kitchen

The family that lives together cooks together, smiles together, always stays together. My heartfelt gratitude to families staying together in times of panic and lockdown. All age groups are involved in cooking together for the family that’s our society/ nation. They are not only cooking for themselves and their family but for a few extra families too. They are doing some very simple things just to be that help for others.

So what’s your Lifeline in Lockdown? Assist daily wagers with basic sustenance, food grains, etc. Support sanitation workers and others

Help in any possible way always brings smiles so never let them go. Manas helped the migrated people in the best of his capacity who were flooded on highways connecting India. He handed food and water to migrants traveling hungry and clueless.

I wish all the individuals striving to help get more connected hands to let the chain go ahead. I’m glad to know you Manas the joker with a heart of gold. Keep up the good work buddy and I wish more power and strength to your helping hands that are bringing smiles and hopes.

Donate to provide soap, sanitizers, etc. to peopleProviding a meal for those who are not able to go to their daily jobs

The work of the charity which they are doing in the shape of a community kitchen is beyond words to appreciate.

Packed food

My gratitude to all those who are taking that one extra step and feeding the needy and are in reality proving to be Lifeline in Lockdown! Consequently, I’m not sharing any of the pics for fame or popularity. It’s my gratitude post for helping hands sharing positivity their own way. I’m proud to know them and share their story and wish it brings a wave of change and motivates others to help in whichever possible way. We have learned a lot during this pandemic and it has certainly changed our views of life. Don’t forget to peep inside when you are not allowed to go outside for positivity.

For West Delhi, if anyone in need, feel free to check out with Gaurav Mendiratta who’s helping with his Team: Road Rangers of India & Saathi. I also thank Robinhood Army for helping distribute the food. Thanks, Pankaj Bhutani for sharing the pics and doing free Sewa in time of need. You both being my school friends I feel more proud for you guys, keep doing the great work.

Team – Road Rangers of India

Last but not the least, Stay Safe but do try and help in whichever possible way to those who need you in times of crisis. God bless everyone involved in this noble cause of being the helping hands and spreading positivity.

This is part of my Positive Humans series I have been writing on people who are an inspiration, motivation with their attitude of gratitude and ever helping nature. There are many unsung real-life champions who have helped or contributed to the betterment of our society. Let’s learn from them and be a helping hand to others.
