Lost Childhood

Lost Childhood

It's 8:00 am already. Chasing after the bus had become an old drill. Wearing blue trousers and white shirt with a beautiful knot of a blue tie made me look discerning and bright. Polishing the black shoes to make it shine bright and wearing the ID card had always been a part of the majestic moment. It was basic and unembellished yet soul-destroying.

Reminiscing the good old times had always been dazzling in its own way. The only difference being the ID card neck strap made me feel the burden of the work. Yes. The time has changed and life has already moved on. Probably, repeating the same old pattern with an aching heart because the school life has come to an end with childhood and the work-life has replaced it with adulthood.

Chasing after the bus in the pursuit of a better life. Wearing blue trousers and a white shirt in order to blend in the crowd without any fear of missing out. The tie hanging uptight to crumble the dreams and the indulgence.

Been admiring this casual picture differentiating childhood from adulthood.
