LOVE

‘Love’ is very simple but multilayered and convoluted, delicate and full of colours but people make it complex and colourless or black and white (like this paper). It is not when the heart of a boy or girl beats very hard for another, nor is it to spend time with the person you love, as a lover, but an intimate friendship.  It is basically putting others’ needs in front of your own.

It is nothing but the thread which binds the members of a family, relatives and friends.  It is a blanket that covers the brother and sisters.

We tie ‘rakhi’ as a sign of love, but actually we tie threads that tie our hearts together. Love in the form of marriages is like the seven rounds for seven births, what people call as “saath janmo ka bandhan”.

But love is very simple.  It can be love for yourself, for others, for society, for environment, for pet animals or for our own nation.

Though it is simple, we feel it is complicated (when it comes to humans). We can love for a cause or not.  But love is something that everyone does, no matter whether it is a girl or a boy or a poor or rich or pet animals.  There can also be love between a poor and rich; humans and pet animals; humans and nature.

In the poem ‘If thou must love me’ there is a line “...If thou must love me let it be for nought but for love’s sake only...” It says that if a person loves, it should be for nothing but love and only for true love, not for anything else – for cause or external beauty of a person.

In conclusion, I would like to say that according to me, love is the cutest thing in life and is actually imperfectly perfect.
