Bell was pressed for the fourth time but my darling son, didn't bother to get up and open the door, murmuring so many self created gently abusive words I opened the door.

And with a high speed response I threw my default sentence on press wala bhaiya.

"Aaj kapde nahi haan". He looked disdainfully at me. Even though there were so many clothes lying on the sofa but then I was busy with making chappatis for the lunchboxes.

"And ironing could be given a second preference". I tried to justify myself in my head.

Shutting the door I returned to my battlefield only to find the chapati I had put on tawa had burnt and turned black

Nothing could be more agonising than this scene that too in morning rush, I gently tapped my heart and said "all is well".

And again started after cleaning my paraphernalia, again a bell, this time I straight away rushed to open the door, as I was expecting my maid, but it was my hubby darling who was back after his usual morning jog.

Seeing my "Vikral Roop" he couldn't muster the courage to ask anything.

I started throwing all my irritation on him, but he too was master of the game he peacefully made a cup of tea and handed it over to me.

And I was thinking this exercise is actually good, the release of endorphins hormone, decreases the scope of so many divorces.

I had almost finished up with all kitchen chores,

took a look at the watch, It was 8.15., still 10 mins on my side, took a sigh of relief, and was to go for the bath.

Suddenly my phone rang, "who calls in the morning, everyone is so busy why can't you call in the evenings or so". I was self-talking no one even listening or paying attention to me.

I trembled seeing the caller's number, "oh no".

No no not again, you can't do this to me.

A voice came from other side

"Bhabhi main nahi aa rahi aaj

Meri tabiyat theek nahi hai."

That was my maid Ratna.

I sank into the sofa.

By that time my husband was getting ready, I looked at him with the sweetest ever smile given ever in these two decades of marriage.

But the masterstroke came from him.

He collected his lunch box and came to me for a good bye hug, but sensing trouble retrieved.

Now it was 'main aur meri tanhai' to handle this

I looked at watch it was ticking like anything as if it has to go somewhere, Then I looked at my sink It was overwhelming with bartans

"To do or not to do" The soliloquy uttered by Prince Hamlet in Hamlet started banging in my head.

I thought for few seconds.

Then posted a message in my office what's app group

Dear Team

I will be coming after meeting potential clients on my way to office.

And will check the status on reaching the office.

Returned to my battlefield.

The tittle song of Mahabharata was getting played in my head.

Mahabharat katha hai yeh sangharsh ki .....
