My Journey of 2021

2020 went off like a 20-20 cricket match without bowling a ball, and we pinned our hopes for 2021. 2021 started with high spirits with the youthful excitement of the teenager becoming an adult legally. Fear of COVID then gave way to the hope of vaccines. Dashed all our hopes as the weeks and months progressed.

The work-life balance moved more to work alone as we shifted between work and homework all the time. Monday blues spread to all the other days of the week as we stuck on the web and faded to become a virtual identity. Wearing the mask became a part of our attire that even phones refused to recognize us without one.

 

Wearing the mask left the back of our ears sore while our vision became blurred with our breath. Social life got restricted to the virtual world of social media with all its gossips and propaganda forwards. On the positive side, I started gardening on the balcony and saw the blossoming of the leaves and flowers after ages. My passion for photography got rekindled with my cellphone shooting the coming of leaves and blooming of flowers.

Lovely butterflies gathering the honey in the plants gave me something to look forward to every day. Resumed writing daily, based on my reflections of life over the years. Hopefully, 2022 will take us back though it may be to a New Normal.
