Never Give up!

We have just begun the journey and understood the depth of the problem. But that is a start and now we must charge ahead as there is no point in making plans and passing laws which are not held up. If 50% of our population does not get a fair chance in life and is undermined at every stage then we can only dream of becoming a great nation. We need to put all our resources in ensuringthat we all fight this menance together. We need to support our Government with heart and soul and we can do so when we keep our mind healthy and indulge into useful creative activities that cleanse our frustrations.

I decided not to be defeated by this Corona fears. I quickly wrote down two scripts to make short films. It was difficult without proper camera, lights, sound equipment but yes 'where there is a will there is always a way'. I called my theatre friend and asked her "Madhu, would you be interested to shoot a short film. I'm sorry there will be no director, you will have to use your discretion and yes I will guide you through facetime.' She was only too excited and then I sent the same story to my son at a different location to record the voice-over of a male character. Believe it or not, this was the quickest project I had ever done and in a day's time, the montages and clips came to me by email. I then lined up the same and forwarded them to my editor at a different location. And now the short film is in the process of completion!.

Today, I sent a script to my daughter-in-law to highlight the helplessness that many of us are feeling during this lockdown, yet to encourage the actress in her and I am sure she will finish that today. Once done it will again be sent to my editor who will work from his home. The gist is that we can do what we are passionate about though the outcome may not be the same, yet the accomplishment is much higher - with low proximity, low resources, if we can complete a project, we can only be too satisfied.

The moral is that "Never give up" - this is the time to contemplate and Own your potentials. Do you remember the song "these are a few of my favorite things"; dig into your favorite passtimes, hobbies and this even might be an opportunity to create an idea relevant to healthcare and community reach. Each calamity in life is not always a disaster, it brings with it great new ideas, dig into the stories of Walt Disney, Einstein and all the very best to all of us!
