Phulmaya, the Milkmaid

One sunny afternoon, Phulmaya, the milkmaid was going to the market. She was carrying milk in a clay pot on her head. On her way to the market, she began dreaming about what she would do with the money she got for the milk.

"I'll buy some hens and they would lay eggs every morning which I'll sell," said she.

With the money that she got from selling eggs, she would buy herself a new frock and a shawl." And when I go to the market," she thought, " the young men will come up and speak to me! All the girls will be jealous, but I don't care. I shall look at the girls and toss my head like this."
