BRINJAL'S PORTABLE LAMP

Once upon a time, a Brinjal happily lived in a vegetable village with his parents and grandmother. The Vegetable village is boasted with trees, fields, and lakes. All the houses were made with mud. He had so many friends. Every day, the Brinjal would meet their friends near the bank of the river and narrate their stories. They enjoyed each other company and made a beeline to their homes only after sunset.

One day he returned to his home, he found the whole house was dark. Granny brinjal said while cleaning the glass chimney, her hands got fumbled and lantern glass chimney got broken. Brinjal was afraid of darkness.

Since it was a village, there was no provision of electricity. With out light, they couldn't finish their dinners and other household chores till the morning. They didn't have earthen lamp holders too.

Granny brinjal is very smart old quinquan generian woman. Suddenly an idea flashed in her mind. She took out an old glass bottle from her old rustic metal box. She made a portable lamp with an old glass bottle and put a hole on the metallic cap of the bottle.

She made a wick with the cotton cloth and inserted the cloth into the hole of metal cap and she poured oil into the bottle.

Brinjal lit the handmade portable lantern. Now the whole home and surrounding space were illuminated. Brinjal wrapped his arms around his granny with happiness and planted a kiss on her cheeks for her wonderful Idea. By the time, they finished their arrangements , Daddy brinjal returned home from the fields. The four members had their dinners together amidst light banters and by using a portable mini lantern.
