Khuku came to Sator with her grandmother. They came from Birganj by bullock cart in morning. Grandmother worship Shamuk Sah's shirne with clay horses, candle and incense sticks.

Next to the shrine there stands a pond, called Pirdighi. They take bath there.

Grandmother take water from well and the poha socked with that.

They took poha, Panchagar curd and ripe Martaman banana from Birganj.

The garoan or driver Lalmohan was roring because Sabri banana was not found in the market.

But Khuku love Martaman banana very much. Though a little watery but very sweet and what a beautiful flavour.

Khuku called her grandmother Kamma.

She asked, "well kamma I see the curd is not tide with towel, but why it called Gamcha bandha curd ?"

Annapurna Devi is the daughter of Jagabandhu daroga of Santipur, Nadia. Hearing such purbabangio language from khuku, her face is naturally became serious.

She said herself,"How many times I said my husband, don't arrange marriage of my son with an purbabangio girl. If you heared that, what I was talking."

What ! Banedi home of purnango. Mymensingha ! They are talukder. They must be good in cooking. Where is now that greedy old man ?

Ofcourse bouma(daughter in law) really cooks well. There is no way to condemn.

She is educated also. But the language !

How she uses the Bengali language !

Anger fires up when that purbabangio Bengali language heard.

"Where are you now ! Went away to heaven.

How would you feel if you hear such strange Bengali language from your grand daughter !"

Bouma(Daughter in law) is pregnant again.

That is why they come here, living-peer Shamuk Sah's majhar. Now as if I can see the face of grandson. Before dying this is my only wish.

Khuku said, "O kamma, Rao karona kare ?"

(That means why are not speaking grandma?)

Anupama Devi cool down and keep right hand on the head of khuku. And said politely,"didivai if you talk like your mother, this is not looking good. Do you know why I bring you with me here. Because I know if you want you can speak Bengali very well."

" Are you angry grandma?" Khuku started blankly at her sixtyfour year old beautiful grandmother.

"No, I am not."

Khuku said slowly, " why is the curd called Gamcha-bandha-doi ? Though it is not wrapped by towel."

Annapurna Devi huged her beloved granddaughter Khuku and said," in fact the curd is so thick that one can take in towel if one wants. But in fact no one take the curd like this. That's why people called this curd Gamcha-bandha-doi.

Just like everyone calls you Khukumoni

though your name is Pratima."
