Readymade Son !!! ( Part -2)

After the birth of their daughter, whom they named 'Angel' because she was God's only gift to the Acharya couple with no chance of further children after removal of Mrs.Acharya's( Archana's) weak bleeding uterus.

Years fled by as the couple kept on showering their love on Angel, but Archana's in-laws' behavior completely changed towards her when they came to know that she could never give a male heir to the family anymore.

Karma repays everybody for their deeds. Similarly, her mother-in-law also had to reap the consequences of her misbehavior towards Archana. Her daughter Shobha got regularly ill-treated in her husband's house due to dowry issues and was ousted from their house several times with her infant son Rinku, to bring more and more dowry every time. She stayed in her maternal house and denied going back fearing further torture Archana began nurturing infant Rinku as her own son during her sister-in-law Shobha's broken down condition. Archana advised her mother-in-law not to send Shobha back to her brutal in-laws.

Keeping married daughter at father's place is considered shameful in this society of ours. So Shobha was sent back to her greedy in-laws' place, again and again, in spite of her opposition.

Finally one fateful day, they reported that she got burnt to death in an accident in the kitchen. I want to ask this society, "Is a dead daughter more preferable than a daughter staying at her father's place after marriage??" 

Everyone knows about the speed and efficacy of judicial systems in our country, along with the corruption associated with it. Shobha's in-laws were acquitted by hook or by crook. Archana, who had nurtured Shobha's son Rinku as her own son and was planning to adopt him officially, had to part with him because his biological father had attained his full custody in court. He snatched Rinku away from Archana and never let them see his face again.

Archana missed Rinku immensely. Her husband advised her to forget that chapter of life and concentrate on what God had given them i.e their Angel. But how can a mother, biological or adoptive, forget a child?

Mrs.Archana Acharya was jolted back to reality in her office when the peon came to inform her that it was time for the meeting. 

Since Rinku had been snatched away from her, Archana had lost her talkative, jubilant nature and carried on day to day life like a zombie. Seeing her condition her husband suggested a solution, to adopt a child, to which she promptly agreed and Angel danced with joy, that she was going to get a real living baby doll( her baby, as she liked to tell everyone)

Her mother-in-law protested vehemently telling her that the religion, caste, creed of the adopted baby would be unknown and a baby of untouchable lower caste would make her house impure. Mr. Acharya also told her firmly this time that they had lost Shobha and Rinku because of her orthodox prejudices. Now he wasn't going to lose Achana to her depression.

After proper procedures, Bighnesh( their adopted son) entered the house and was welcomed by the family with a great ceremony. All the dark clouds of misery vanished after his arrival, as his name suggested. It didn't take him long to win the hearts of his orthodox grandparents by his sweet enchanting smirks and childish activities.
