Recovery

Healing is always slow. Wounds are quick. Supriya was sitting next to her mother in hospital. She was running  machine in her life. Today she was lying in bed. Though it seems, few days. Each day is long with lot of nurses, doctors visit. A long path towards recovery. They were searching for ladder each day.

Mom wanted to extend her stay in hospital. Home, the comfiest place in the world. She did not like her home. Every day she was giving excuses, fearing no good care. She relied more the strangers, met a few days ago. She believed them more.

Supriya switched on the tv to divert the attention of her half drowsy mother. She also wanted to find out. .

Is She the same? Her choices were not changed. She observed mother is humble now a days. Exchanging thanks in a day endlessly. Though she asked about every family member but no reactions. she was slipped to zone where everything around is still.

she reemphasizes Supriya go home, but her eyes were not in sync with words.

Supriya felt the grey misty clouds circling them. She prayed for showers to see the blue umbrella. She circled the calendar dates counting the steps each day towards home.
