On this land, we stand

Proud and just

but have we ever thought about

the soil that nurtures us?

The soil gets eroded, every single day,

and soon, this will lead to sorrow and dismay.

Some may think that it's not a big deal,

but it is the soil that provides us an everyday meal.

Once the soil is gone,

everywhere you’ll see, there’ll be an empty lawn.

We all will repent

for all the carefree days we would’ve spent.

We’ll sob for every little grain,

when there’ll be no rain.

Life will disappear,

everything will be gone, year by year.
