Summer sighed as she unpacked another box in her new dorm room. It was hard to believe that just a few short months ago she had been graduating high school alongside her boyfriend Peter. Now, they found themselves on very different paths as they both started their first year of college.

Summer had decided to study journalism at Empire State University, hoping to become an investigative reporter. The campus was only a short subway ride from Peter's new home at the premises of The Daily Bugle, where he had landed an internship thanks to his photography skills. But between their classes, extracurricular activities and Peter's other duties as the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, it was proving difficult to find time for one another.

Across town, Peter was beginning to feel the pressures of juggling his dual lives. On top of his internship and classwork, he regularly patrolled the city streets searching for crimes to stop. More often than not, he would make a late night exit from The Bugle, changing into his costume and swinging off into the night. As much as he wanted to maintain a normal university experience, Peter couldn't ignore people who needed his help.

One evening, Peter stumbled upon an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store. He swooped in and disarmed the gunman with ease, quipping "Stick to convenience, buddy, guns are too hard." Once the criminal was webbed to the wall for the police, Peter checked the time and realized he was supposed to meet Summer for a study group half an hour ago. He shot a quick text apologizing for bailing as he swung off towards campus.

When he arrived at the library, Summer was clearly upset. "Peter, this is the third time this week!" she exclaimed. "I'm trying to be understanding about your responsibilities, but I never know when you're going to flake out on me." Peter hung his head, feeling terrible. "I'm sorry, there was a robbery...you know I can't ignore things like that. Being Spiderman is part of who I am." Summer sighed. "I know, and I admire you for helping people. But I have a life too, and I need someone I can rely on."

Over the next few weeks, their relationship became more strained. Peter continued having to duck out of plans and meetings without explanations, while Summer grew frustrated with the lack of communication. Then one night, Peter discovered a new threat was emerging in the city - a group calling themselves the Vulture Gang who had started robbing banks using high-tech equipment. During a confrontation with their leader, the Vulture, Peter was struck by a powerful blast and sent crashing through a window. He awoke to find himself trapped in some kind of makeshift cell.

His head pounding, Peter realized with dread that someone had removed his mask while he was unconscious. Through the blurriness of his concussion, he could make out the smug face of a woman in a lab coat staring down at him. "Well well, look who decided to drop in," she cackled. "I must say, I never expected to get my hands on the one and only Spiderman. Your DNA and abilities will fetch me a pretty penny, bug boy."

It seemed the Vulture Gang's true objective was to harvest enhanced individuals for illegal genetic experimentation. As the nefarious doctor drew Peter's blood and took samples, he struggled against his restraints to no avail. His mind raced trying to form an escape plan, but the effects of the blast were still impairing his thoughts. If only he could contact someone for help...but down here in this underground lair, he had no way to signal for backup. It seemed Spiderman may have finally met his match.

Meanwhile, at the library Summer was worriedly calling Peter's phone for the tenth time with no answer. It wasn't like him to completely ghost her, especially after their last conversation. She knew something must be very wrong, but had no idea where to even start looking. Desperate, she recalled Peter had briefly mentioned keeping in touch with Tony Stark, who had become a sort of mentor figure after the events with the Vulture Gang.

Reaching out to Tony was a long shot, but Summer had a gut feeling it may be Peter's only chance. After several failed attempts to get through to his assistants, she left a frantic voicemail pleading for help. Luckily for Peter, Tony took the call and began using his resources to try and locate any signs of strange activity around the city that could be linked to the gang. It didn't take long for his tech to pick up on energy signatures matching the blasts Peter had described underground near an abandoned warehouse.

'I'm on my way,' Tony told Summer as he suited up and took to the skies as Iron Man. When he arrived outside the hideout, he did a heat signature scan that detected at least a dozen lifeforms inside along with Peter's unique biometrics. This had to be the place. Bursting through the entrance blasting his repulsors, Tony made short work of the few guards on patrol. He tracked the signals down into the basement level where Peter was being held.

"Well well, look who decided to show up," the doctor sneered as Iron Man entered. "This is none of your business, tin man. I have valuable property here that you're interfering with." Tony raised his hands and fired repulsor blasts, destroying the equipment holding Peter. "The only property here is this kid, and I'm returning him." With his restraints melted, Peter leapt into action and began apprehending the remaining henchmen alongside Iron Man.

"Looks like you came just in the nick of time," Peter quipped to Tony through swollen lips as the last goon was webbed to the wall. The two heroes then turned their attention to the doctor, but found she had fled in the chaos. For now, justice would have to be served another day. Tony helped Peter limp outside where an anxious Summer was waiting. "Looks like I owe you one for the save. And you too Summer, for having my back." She hugged him gently, relieved to have him safe.

In the months that followed, things began looking up for our heroes. Tony Stark, the Iron Man himself, became Peter's superhero mentor. They hung out, and Tony shared the inside scoop on being a successful superhero. In Tony's high-tech spot, with cool superhero moves. As a pro of living a dual life Tony adviced some tricks on managing the challenges of a double life and to tackle his overconfidence and aloofness in his action. With Tony's help, Peter improved at balancing his superhero duties and regular life. Despite the ongoing trouble from the Vulture Gang, the city enjoyed a break from the chaos. It was like Tony Stark transformed into Peter's friendly superhero coach, teaching him the tricks of the trade.

One sunny afternoon, Peter met Summer for a picnic in the park wearing a silly paper hat. “Ta-dah!” he said, striking a pose. “I come bearing sandwiches and bad jokes. Thank you for sticking with me even when things get crazy.” Summer smiled and kissed his cheek. “There’s no place I’d rather be than by your side, dorkiness and all. I love you, Spiderman.” And with that, Peter felt like the luckiest guy in New York. Their future together looked bright indeed as long as they had each other's love and support.

Beneath the vibrant city lights, as Peter and Summer enjoyed their picnic, suddenly Iron Man swaggered onto the scene "Hey, Spidey! How about upgrading from local hero to global Avenger? We've got some threats, snazzy suits, and a whole bunch of snacks." Peter, with a mouthful of sandwich, looked at Tony, a mix of surprise and excitement written on his face. The city's newest Avenger? It had a nice ring to it.
