Prince Kunwar and Ranjeet were best friends. They grew up together and spent most of their time together. They were inseparable.

One day, the two friends were walking through the forest when they came across a beautiful girl. She was sitting by a stream, singing to herself. The two friends were mesmerized by her beauty.

Kunwar was the first to speak. "Who are you?" he asked. "What are you doing here?"

The girl looked up at them and smiled. "My name is Maya," she said. "I am a princess. I was lost in the forest, but now I am found."

Kunwar and Ranjeet were amazed. They had never met a princess before. They were full of questions.

"How did you get lost?" Ranjeet asked.

"I was out for a walk in the forest," Maya said, "and I got lost. I was scared and alone, but then I saw you two and I knew I was safe."

Kunwar and Ranjeet were flattered. They were glad that they could help Maya.

The three friends spent the rest of the day together. They talked and laughed and got to know each other better. By the end of the day, they were all friends.

The next day, Maya had to go back to her kingdom. She was sad to leave her new friends, but she knew that she had to go.

"I will miss you," she said to Kunwar and Ranjeet.

"We will miss you too," Kunwar said.

"Come visit us sometime," Maya said. "We would love to see you again."

Maya promised to visit, and then she left.

Kunwar and Ranjeet were sad to see her go, but they knew that they would see her again. They were also glad that they had made a new friend.

The two friends continued to spend most of their time together. They were still inseparable.

One day, Kunwar and Ranjeet were walking through the forest when they came across the same spot where they had met Maya. They sat down by the stream and talked about her.

"I miss her," Kunwar said.

"Me too," Ranjeet said.

"I wonder if she will ever come back," Kunwar said.

"I hope so," Ranjeet said.

The two friends sat in silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts.

Finally, Kunwar spoke. "I have something to tell you," he said.

"What is it?" Ranjeet asked.

"I doubt that Maya is real," Kunwar said.

"What do you mean?" Ranjeet asked.

"I mean that I think she is a figment of our imagination," Kunwar said. "We met her when we were both lost and scared. We wanted someone to help us, so we created her. She is our own creation, and that is why she is so perfect."

Ranjeet was silent for a long time. He was thinking about what Kunwar had said.

"I don't know what to think," he finally said.

"I know," Kunwar said. "It is a difficult thing to believe. But I think it is the truth."

The two friends sat in silence for a while longer. They were both thinking about what Kunwar had said.

Finally, Ranjeet spoke. "I think you are right," he said. "Maya is not real. She is our own creation."

Kunwar smiled. "I am glad you agree," he said.

The two friends stood up and started to walk away.

"Wait," Ranjeet said. "What does this mean for our friendship?"

"I don't know," Kunwar said. "I guess we will just have to wait and see."

The two friends walked away, each lost in their own thoughts.

Doubt had clouded their friendship for good.
