Struggle For Victory

Those are usual days for Sadhu who goes to the forest for cutting some trees and taking it back to his home in the village Parasbani. He is a hard working and as well an honest man as his name signifies. He lives in his village with his wife Sarada,three daughters and two sons. As a man of old generation,he never makes any partiality among his sons and daughters. Happiness lies with him.

But as it is believed that sorrow is a part of everyone's life. It also knocks at Sadhu's door as an unwanted guest. That day he goes to the forest as he usually does but he ever imagines about the tragedy that was eagerly waiting for him there. While cutting a big tree suddenly it is about to fall on him. He tries much to save him. After much struggle however, he gets away of the danger.

While escaping from one danger, another is still there for him. And this time it is a mother bear who attacks him all of a sudden while Sadhu passes through that forest. It hurts him again and again and nobody is there at that time to help the man. His whole body bleeds by the bear's attack but he is now helpless to save himself from that violent beast.

But there the incident takes a twist all of a sudden by God's grace. Sadhu stops his breath for some minutes and lays there on the ground until the beast gets sure of his death. After many hours, some villagers who see Sadhu there and rescue him. As at that time no hospitals are available nearby, so the villagers take him to a distant hospital by carrying him in a wooden khatia.

And it starts to rain cats and dogs the whole day. Still after such unfortunate situations, however Sadhu is admitted to a hospital and it takes months to recover fully. And this man whom I really like much for his bravery is my real hero. He is none other than my own maternal grandfather... my Aoja...
