Another short one here !

Had a quirky thought on my mind since ages and recently I found someone who spoke similar- so feels relieved to know I am normal ;).. when I was a school-goer, I had lot many in my circle who were a fan of different personalities, did some crazy deed like day-dreaming about them, sticking posters all around in their rooms, drawing big hearts with a red sketch pen on those posters to show love, etc. but.. I still have no clue 'Why was I not a fan of anyone ever?' I stayed mum and never disclosed this to anyone thinking it might sound abnormal ! Through all the interactions I had with people at various stages of my life, hardly found any who weren't a fan of anyone ever in their life... This pushed me more to believe that it's abnormal - LOL !

I was lounging around while waiting to board a flight for Dubai and happened to bump into Ria, a dear friend of mine. We hugged each other and decided to grab a seat in the Coffee Cafe Day aka CCD outlet before we could get into an endless conversation. We started with our work life, ranting about work pressure, cursed monster managers (oops!), and slowly moved onto topics like the latest movies we watched and our opinion on them. As the discussion went deeper and thoughtful; I asked her 'what does it mean to be a fan of someone ?', wanted to know if she got it? She explained her version which in short meant, loving a personality beyond measure. This answer somewhat made sense to me than those crazy acts I had seen  my other friends doing. It was slightly more than two hours that we were lost into our candid conversation and thought; before the CCD guy politely asks us to leave, we should get going!

It was 12.15 PM then and the announcement said to queue up for boarding at gate number 27 which was about 15 mins walk from the CCD. Ria and myself started walking towards the gate and on our way, we see a huge crowd. As we went closer, could see the public was behind a woman asking for  pictures, autograph, etc. and the lady was guarded by policemen while walking towards some gate. I barely could see her face initially but then I realised she was 'Vidya'; our own 'Vidya Balan'! Ria was excited and she joined the crowd leaving me to wait for her; while I just shouted ' Hey Vidya - You were awesome in the movie 'Kahani', Brilliant acting skill my love!' and guess what ?... She turned back and said 'Thanks Hun'. There was a moment of silence in the crowd and I think I also inside my mind while it was registering her words. She also said, 'She is my real fan, at least allowing me to be in my own comfort while admiring'.

In the next few minutes, she vanished into a VIP entry gate and the crowd dispersed as well. Ria came running to me and asked 'Do you know her personally?'. I am like, No I don't. I know her as much as you do. She was baffled and asked, then why did you shout out? I said I don't why I did what I did but I did and you saw what she did :D

Well, those words are still on my mind and I still don't know if I am her fan :)... May be yes?

Until next one XX
