This happened today.

As I walked towards the Bolangir Railway station, I noticed a woman sitting on the stairs near the entrance. Her hair was disheveled, and her clothes were tattered. She held a baby in her arms, and her eyes were downcast. I could sense that something was wrong, and I approached her.

Are you okay?" I asked softly. She looked up at me with a blank expression, and I could see the hunger in her eyes.

Can I get you something to eat?" I asked, and she hesitated before nodding slowly. I rushed to the nearby food stall and bought two packets of biscuits and some samosas. When I returned, I offered her the food, and she took it gratefully.

I asked her what had happened, but she was reluctant to talk. I noticed her eyes fill with tears as she looked down at her baby. I could sense her desperation, and I knew that I had to do something.

I dialed 112 and explained the situation to the operator. After a few minutes, a police van arrived, and the officers stepped out. They approached the woman and talked to her gently. They offered her some food, and she accepted it gratefully.

The officers then took her and her baby to the police station, where they were given a hot meal. The woman finally opened up and explained her story. She had been abandoned by her husband and had nowhere to go. She was too ashamed to ask for help and had been living on the streets for weeks.

All I want to share is that sometimes it needs a small act of kindness to change someone's life/situation.
