Introduction

Ok. So let me get this straight. This is not the happy ever after story which you all will like. So… what should I say? Ok. Right, so before I start, let me introduce myself. My name is Misha, Misha Solana. I have 2 friends, best friends to be exact; their names are Akash Deshpande and Krisha Indravati. Now let's get started.

We get a ride...

On a melted ice-cream

School sucks. Everyone (including my parents, obviously) keeps lecturing me about how "good" school life is, but they often forget how other children bully you if you're not… normal. Ok, ok. I AM normal. But in my childhood, I used to watch nursery rhymes so that my parents didn't need to tell me stories at night. And I told my ex best friend, Arushi, my biggest secret, that I still listened to those rhymes. And guess what? Yeah, unfortunately, you guessed it right. (Maybe, I don't know, I'm not a mind reader), she spread it to the whole class. And now everyone gives me looks of dismay, disapproval and even disgust.

And that's how, "Arushi" became my EX best- friend. That was the worst day of my life. I was the laughing stock of my class. I had never felt so ashamed and embarrassed before. Arushi was always the first one to bully me. But Akash and Krisha never left my side and were always there to protect me. So when I was entering the class, Arushi came out of nowhere and pushed me. I didn't know how she just entered behind my back out of nowhere. No one was there in class, except Arushi and two of her friends, Ananya and Natasha. "Hey weirdo, which rhymes did you watch today?" And laughed like a maniac, her minions following her. "I-I didn't watch any" I said. "What did you s-s-s-s-s-say?" She mocked me. "Your friends are not here to save you. You are weak without them."

When she said the last sentence, it rang in my ears. No. I am not weak. I am independent and strong, I tried telling myself. And then a voice whispered in my ear, "You can do it Misha. Standing up to them will help you unlock your powers". I stood up and said," Dear Arushi, I just wanted to let you know that I am independent. And you asked which rhyme I watched? Well I watched, "Arushi smells." Her minions sneered. Arushi gasped. "What did you say to me you nursery kid!?" she screamed, "I am better than you in every way!!" "Are you? Well, at least I'm not a fake friend, like someone here." I said, trying hard not to laugh. "UGH!! ANANYA!! NATASHA!! GET HER!!" "With pleasure", they both said at once, but their voices had completely changed, into a monstrous one.

And soon they began to grow, grow, grow, grow and grow. "YES ANANYA AND NATASHA!! GO GE- wait a minute?-"she looked behind her to see two giant, 15 feet tall, who looked like fire ladies. When I say that, I meant ACTUAL fire ladies because their body, hair, eyes and almost everything was made out of fire. "OH MY GOD, WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK ARE YOU BOTH!?!?!" Arushi screamed. I didn't have time to think because Arushi fainted and I had to drag her to safety, when the ladies started spitting fire on us. I dragged her behind one of the back benches and hid there. "Where are you little warrior?" The fire ladies called out. "I see you!" fire lady 1 cooed. Then they floated swiftly towards us. They towered over us, ready to burn us to ash. This was my end I guess. I thought I will die alone, but now, I just figured out that I will die at the hands of two fire ladies. It didn't help when Arushi slowly opened her eyes, saw the fire ladies, shrieked, and fainted again.

When the fire weirdoes were ready to lunge at us, Akash and Krisha came dashing in the classroom. Akash surprisingly didn't show any sign of disbelief or astonishment, but Krisha also looked like Arushi, pale and ready to faint anytime. Then, Akash drew a pair of dagger, but the handles were made of caramel and the end looked like… carved 4-star and the daggers were steaming… cold? He threw one at each of the fire weirdoes with a flawless aim. I thought the daggers would go right through them, but the daggers hit them and the weirdoes shrieked and vaporized. I stared in awe at Akash. "AHHHHHHHHH HOW DID YOU DO THAT!?!?!" Krisha shrieked. I was too awestruck to even ask. "Who are you? And why are your weapons made of candy?" I asked, "And for whom do you work?" asked Krisha. "I am the creamsicle of the kingdom of rhymes, Nutty Fruits. Or whatever humans say, "Lieutenant".

Anyways, I was here undercover to find the chosen two for the great prophecy." As he said that he changed into a... chocolate bar? We stared at him who once was our friend and now was a nut filled chocolate bar. "What prophecy?" I asked, stifling a laugh because, (WHO NAMES THEIR KID NUTTY!?) "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, WE ARE SELECTED FOR A PROPHECY!!! WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!!" Krisha shrieked. "Do you want to die even before you reach the…kingdom or whatever", I said. "This is a life time opportunity, Misha!! We get to be heroes!!" "For some sweets and candies" I said. "We have many types of people in our kingdom of rhymes." He put stress on the word rhyme to gain my attention; he knew how much I liked to be lost in rhymes, reliving my childhood. And here I was, denying an offer which will allow me to actually "see" my childhood rhymes in real, and not some weird mascots of them. "Okay fine. We are ready to go. Help you with…whatever you want us to help with." I shrugged.

Krisha grinned broadly, "LET'S GO!!" Krisha started to move out of the class when Akash- or Nutty or whatever he was blocked her way. "Wait. Before we take you, we need to verify if you both are actually the ones chosen for the prophecy." "And how are we going to do that?" I asked. "Show me you're ID cards." He said. "We don't have any ID cards." Krisha said. Nutty sighed, "Show me one of your special things that is close to you. Like your pendant Misha. Because you never let anyone touch that pendant. Take it off and give it to me so that I can check if it has the aura or not." I hesitated and then gave my pendant reluctantly to Nutty. He held it in his hands and murmured something. And then suddenly, the pendant began to glow. "Ok Misha. You are the chosen one. Krisha, what is your most beloved object? "It's my mirror!" She grinned. "I love it because I can see my beautiful face in it!" I rolled my eyes while Krisha gave her mirror to an amused looking Nutty and did the same process and the mirror began to glow. "Ok Krisha you're the second chosen one. Now we need to head to the Rhyme Kingdom." "And what is the transport for that, a melted Ice-cream?" Nutty gave me a surprised look and said, "Wow Misha, no wonder you're the chosen one and if you're wondering, yes your answer is right" My jaw fell open. "No wait I was just-" "Our ride is here, let's go." Nutty said and walked out of the classroom followed by jumping Krisha.

I sighed and walked out. The school was empty. In the corridor, over the railings, and literally, in mid- air, horizontally floated a melted vanilla ice cream, with multi-colour sprinkles and a cherry on the top. The ice-cream had sunglasses on and was typing something on a mobile phone, which was actually in the form of a sprinkle jar. It groaned when it saw us. "Ugh! You made me wait for so long! I hate to be in this sunlight! My sprinkle and cherry make up is going to melt off!! Now I have to ask daddy to buy me a new one!! Just hop on so I can get out of this awful place! In fact, THIS WHOLE PLANET IS AWFUL!! THE GLOBAL WARMING HERE IS TERRIBLE!!!!" "Chill Samantha, jeez… you and your make-up" Nutty rolled his eyes and hopped on the cone, near the start of the ice-cream with ease as if he was trained to hop on railings.

"I never knew ice-creams could be... spoiled brats" Krisha muttered. "UM EXCUSE ME!? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME!?" Ice-cream brat screamed at Krisha. "I said to hurry up so that your beautiful make up doesn't melt off!" Krisha said. "Hmph! "Someone who understands me, thank you! Let's get out of here!" Samantha said as we carefully climbed the railing and hopped on the ice cream behind Nutty. "Ok everyone, hold on tight because we might not notice if you fall off and die." "Great. Here goes nothing…" I muttered under my breath as we took off at lightning speed.
