The bluethroat sparrow gushed into the densest trees of the woods, lurking in the narrowest branches of the tree. The poor sparrow was petrified by the trouble hiding behind her. A ghastly whiteness advanced over her face, as the smouldering Red hawk invaded the tree.

The bird held still, camouflaging with the leaves of the branches. The hungry hawk peered into the tree, aware that its prey is lurking in the branches. The hawk rummaged into the branches, hoping to find its supper. A disconcerting feel of fear pervaded the senses of the sparrow, as the hawk approached near the sparrow.

Even though the hawk still didn’t find its prey, it was confident enough to find it by the end of the day. Terror mounted onto the sparrow as it was having no idea on how to escape the clutches of the hawk. Hunger only turned out to be a fuel for the burning hawk.

And there it was! The hawk finally found its prey, hiding in the nearest tree. The hawk rushed towards the sparrow, as fear tormented her. The sparrow had no option but to soar high in the sky and hope that it outruns the hungry hawk. Just before the hawk caught its prey, the sparrow leaped into the sky.

The sparrow knew that she was going to be its meal as she cannot outrun the hawk. With a twisted gut, she turned back in the mid-air to see her prey. She was astounded to see her predator in the claws of another bird, a falcon, as the falcon feasted onto the hawk. She was elated with joy and heaved a sigh of relief.

However, it was only an ordinary day in the life of a migratory bird. She may have escaped today but no one can predict what can happen to her.
