It is a story about a 17-year old boy named Aaron Sparks, who lives with his Grandpa. Aaron is shy, lonely and a depressed kind of person, but well mannered. He is not a popular kid in his college and people don’t like him. He always gets bullied but he has two good friends, Ray and Kevin. They always support him and cover up for him whenever he gets into trouble. Those three are like brothers and they always watch each others' back.

Every birthday Aaron received a diary from his grandpa and the special thing about those diaries was that it was written by his father. Aaron’s father was a writer and he had written eight diaries which contained a story and at the end, a small quote. He always gets excited when it comes to those diaries because that’s the only memories left for him of his father.

This time Aaron is going to receive the 8th and the last diary on his birthday which makes him even more excited. He decides to read the 7th diary just a week before his birthday and he noticed the end quote which states that Don’t Ever Let People Bring You Down. Don’t Ever Give Up On Something That Feels Right Because It Probably Is. This quote is stuck in his head and then Aaron starts following it.

The next day in his college people start to bully him again as usual but this time he got nobody to cover him because Ray and Kevin were late that day. Aaron tries to escape the bullies but all his efforts are worthless. He gets frustrated and suddenly starts shouting at those guys and he really insulted them brutally. Everybody was shocked by the change in Aaron’s attitude and then Ray and Kevin arrived. They saw Aaron insulting other people who were just standing there and got nothing to do with Aaron. Ray and Kevin tried to stop him and forcefully take him away. They tried so hard to cool him down but Aaron didn’t listen to a single word they said. Instead, Aaron took out all his frustration on Ray and Kevin. Aaron keept on saying that “I Do What My Dad Wants Me To Do If He Was Still Alive Today”. On that day no one talked to Aaron.

After some days passed his 18th birthday came and he received his father’s 8th and last diary. He was so excited that he didn’t even cut the cake and goes to his room and starts reading the diary. This time also there was a story and a quote at the end which says “If You Can’t Say Anything Nice, Don’t Say Anything At All. Saying Someone Is Ugly Doesn’t Make You Any Prettier And Never Do Something Permanently Foolish Just Because You Are Temporarily Upset”.

After reading this Aaron suddenly realised that he did the wrong thing and then he said “If You Made Anyone Cry For No Reason Then You Don’t Deserve To Be Loved. I think That’s What My Dad Was Trying To Say”. He then called Ray And Kevin to apologise and asked them to join him for his birthday celebrations.

Next day he apologised to everyone in his college and soon everyone started to like Aaron Sparks. Aaron made some new friends and now no one bullies him. Even his Grandpa was so surprised by the change he went through in just one week. Aaron Sparks is now more confident, dependable and popular and the most important thing is HE IS COOL NOW..!

“You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one”
