The Old Haunted Castle...

Nick and Joseph were sitting in their old tree house wondering to do something exciting. Nick was a 13 year old bright boy. He always read horror books in his free time. He always waited for an adventure. Joseph was a 12 year old adventure loving and intelligent girl. She was the cousin of Nick. Like her brother, she too liked adventures. They lived in their ancestral mansion with their parents. They were very rich and owned a huge wood. Suddenly a map flew in their tree house. It showed a way to a castle. They turned the map and found some inscriptions inscribed on it. It was written in a language that they couldn’t understand. Joseph took her translator and pointed it towards the text. It read – ‘THE LUCKY ONE MUST REACH THE CASTLE AT THE MIDST OF MIDNIGHT AND FREE THE SPIRITS OF THE LADERBELL AND LUCY.BUT BEWARE OF THE DRAGON SPIRITS GUARDING THEM’. Both the kids got excited and jumped in joy.

They packed their bags and put a torch, a large rope, a lighter, some matchsticks, a strong wooden stick and their excavatory pad (A device which told them about castles), a treasure finding device, and A FAKOGRAM (A DEVICE WHICH CREATES IDENTICAL HOLOGRAMS AND CAN BE CONTROLLED USING THE DEVICE). IT WAS NEARLY EVENING BY THE TIME THEM FINSHED PACKING. Nick and Joseph WENT IN THEIR HOUSE TO HAVE DINNER. AFTER THEIR DINNER , THEY WENT BACK TO THEIR TREEHOUSE.THEY WORE THEIR SPYSUITS ( A SUIT THAT ENABLES ONE TO DO FANTASTIC THINGS LIKE FLYING,LEAPING HIGH IN THE AIR, CLIMBING HIGH WALLS, SHOOTING ROPES,LAZERS,STARS,ULTTRAVIOLET RAYS ETC.) AND GOT READY TO GO TO THE CASTLE.THEY HAD TO PASS THROUGH THE FOREST OF SLUGS AND THE RIVER OF QUICKSAND WHICH SURELY NO ONE COULD PASS.

 They decided to go to the castle by flying with the help of their spy suits. They began their dangerous journey by about 10:00 pm. They took off from their tree house and flew for some time in peace. THEY EVEN CROSSED THE FOREST OF SLUGS WITH GREAT Difficulty. After some time, they were surrounded by fog and mist. Suddenly, a fireball shot at them from nowhere and hit straight on the wings of their suits. THEY DROPPED DOWN AND DOWN AND DOWN. THEY WERE ABOUT TO HIT A HUGE PRICKLY BUSH. A PARASHUTE POPPED OUT FROM THEIR SPYSUIT AND THEY WERE SAVED BY THE SKIN OF THEIR TEETH. They got confused about the mysterious fireball. They remembered the words of the inscription ‘beware of the dragon spirits’. They landed on the banks of the river of quicksand. The river was mighty and ginormous. Neither could they fly nor could they walk on it using their water boots. Nick thought of leaping but the river was a great one. All of a sudden an idea struck Joseph’s mind. He thought that they would leap as far as they could.

When they started coming down, they would shoot a rope on the nearest tree and will be pulled towards the tree with the help of the rope. Joseph and nick both liked the idea and became ready to try it. They did as planned and leapt as far as they could  as they were coming down they tried to search for a tree. But they didn’t find any as the land was barren and there were no trees. A chill went down Joseph’s spine. They came more and more close to the quicksand and were not far from sinking!!! Joseph didn’t waste any time and shot a rope straight at the castle gate which now appeared a very tiny figure. Nick followed Joseph and did the same. They pressed a button on their suits and were pulled towards the castle. As they neared the castle it grew bigger and bigger. It was as tall as the largest skyscraper in the world. It started thundering and raining. The castle looked eerie. Nick thought as if they were in some horror story. His knees felt like jelly. He couldn’t believe that they were about to enter an eerie castle like it. But Joseph looked as courageous as ever.

She was in fact very excited to enter and do research about it. She always wanted to see a castle like that. They both tried to open the castle door, but all went in vain. How much hard they tried the door would not open. Nick pressed a button on his spy suit and a strong laser shot in front of them and cut a circular hole in the castle door. They entered through the hole. It was very dark in side. It appeared as if it had not been used and opened for thousands of years. There were cobwebs everywhere. Rats were running here and there. All the things in the castle were made of gold. There was a dreadful smell coming from inside. It was the smell of rotting meat. Suddenly, a sound of water hushing started. Nick switched on his torch light. A power full beam of light flashed in front of them. They moved in the direction from which the sound was coming. They were startled to see that there was no water but very old king’s assembly. There was a large throne at the end of assembly. There was a skeleton in a seated position on the throne. It was wearing a royal suit; a gold crown studded with diamonds and was holding a royal gold staff with a piece of ruby on top. ....
