The Perfect Murder

After this incident, this family and the town changed forever. Let us go back and look actually what happened. The town of Marwin was never like this before. The people lived in peace and there was love and affection in the air. The Hemsworth family was the heart of Marwin. The eldest daughter, Clara was a kind and sweet girl. She was smart and beautiful. Clara Hemsworth was one of those quiet kids who do not socialize much and enjoy the bliss of solitude. Clara did not have many friends. She was a total introvert. Clara had three best and only friends. Edward, the handsome athlete. Donna, the popular girl and Mark who was basically the male version of Clara. This group of four did not have much in common. They became best friends all thanks to their final History Project. They were really close and would share almost everything with each other.

One day, this group decided to go on a trek to the nearby Fox Hood Mountain. Clara was the one to initiate this plan. This peak was known to be one of the scariest places in the country. They were more than excited to find out the reason for this chaos and rumors. Clara packed her bag before everyone. Strangely, her bag was all puffed up. What can you take for a trip of barely two days? Was it just food and necessities or much more? They all had decided to meet near the Old City Church on the morning of the fifth of July. Donna was always late, unlike others who were already waiting. Mark and Edward took the food basket and set off. They were climbing the slope as fast as possible. After reaching halfway, they decided to halt for some refreshments.

It was afternoon already and the kids were starving. The boys were busy starting the fire and Miss. Donna was busy searching the network for her cell phone. Clara told everyone that she was in need of some air so she went around for a walk. Expectedly, Clara took her huge bag along with her. Her friends were now feeling suspicious and after a while they decided to follow her. After walking for not more than a minute, they got the shock of their life. This sight was shocking and terrible at the same time. Clara was lying on the ground over a pool of blood. She had a bullet hole on her stomach. Why did they not hear the gunshot? Who must have done it? And for what good reason? Their mind was flooded with these unanswered questions. These teenagers did not even know what to do.

Donna was really worried. She shouted on the top of her voice. They ran towards Clara and checked her pulse. It was very less. Mark cried out her name and Eddie ran in the search of the doer. He picked a thick log for self defense. Mark’s eyes were filled with tears and he was speechless. Donna searched for any evidence which could help them find the culprit. She found nothing. She then noticed that Clara’s bag was nowhere to be found. She quickly informed Mark about the missing bag. Edward returned barehanded. All of a sudden, they heard approaching footsteps. The dry fallen leaves made the noise audible. 

There stood Mellisa Hemsworth, Clara’s mother. She was holding a pistol and had a weird smile on her face. The kids were shocked again. “Why did you do it?” Donna exclaimed. “Isn’t she your daughter?” Mark shouted. Mellisa looked at them and said, “Calm down kids, Clara saw something she was not supposed to”. The trio was horrified and their faces turned pale. Donna asked the lady what was the thing Clara saw but Mellisa did not reply. She asked them to follow her and look at themselves. They were obliged to do so because the pistol was surely not empty. They walked down the hill and Mellisa led them to a cave. The cave was just apparent. Upon entering, it was a big room containing a lot of devices. It looked like some kind of lab. There were guards too. She made them sit and switched on the big computer screen in front of them. It was a video depicting Clara slowly peeking into the cave where they were sitting currently. Clara found out about her stepmother, Mellisa’s illegal smuggling business. She read all the documents and saw that Mel was involved in this criminal activity.

This was the reason Clara decided to go there. Unfortunately, Mel caught Clara taking away the papers and she knew Clara would expose her. She followed her quietly and when Clara saw Mel, she shot her in such a way that she would be bedridden. After understanding the story, the group was sure they were in trouble. Mel smiled again and pointed the piston towards Donna. Edward quickly hit the gun with the piece of a log he was carrying and they began to run. The door was still open. The guards came toward them but Donna pepper-sprayed them. They all rushed outside and locked the door from outside. Using the cell phone, Mark called the sheriff and the ambulance. They ran in search of Clara. Soon she was taken to the hospital and Mellisa was caught red-handed. Clara was unconscious but when she woke up, she asked thousands of questions. Her father told her everything and he was glad to see her fine. The kids gave their testimony at the Sheriff’s office. 

The one who deserved was punished. Justice was provided. It was a perfect murder of Mellisa’s wicked plans. It was the victory of truth.
