It was an extremely cold and snowy morning in Yakutsk, Russia. Everybody was taking cover, preparing themselves for the worst. News reporters were covering the weather. There was a forecast of a heavy blizzard about to hit the city the following day. It was going to be the worst blizzard ever to hit the city. The local police was urging people to evacuate the city. People were rushing here and there in panic. In all this chaos 2 brothers, Gogol Fedorov and Ivan Fedorov, got separated from their parents.

Gogol was an extremely smart boy of 10 years and Ivan was a very adventurous boy of age 11. They accidentally fell into a very deep ditch, while trying to find their parents. They kept falling and falling and falling. It seemed like a bottomless pit. And then suddenly they got sucked into a hole. They were moving extremely fast through a black, narrow passage.

“Whoa! What is this?” asked Ivan. “Seems like a black hole, but it is not possible for them to exist here”, said Gogol. Then all of a sudden they hit something very hard and they both fainted.

When they woke up they were both surprised to see that it wasn’t snowing anymore and it was considerably warm. “This isn't Yakutsk. Cannot be”, said Ivan. Gogol was confused after checking his surroundings and told Ivan, “Look! The water here is not blue! It keeps changing its color.” Ivan noticed that this place didn’t look like own planet at all. He suggested, “Could we be on some other planet, Gogol?”

“That is the only conclusion I can make after all that has happened. I think we have traveled through a tunnel into another universe.”

They both decided to explore the place and try to find a way back home. They had just started their expedition when they heard loud noises. A loud roar and a grunting sound.

“What is that? Where is it coming from?” asked a scared Gogol.

“Let us go in the direction of that sound. Don't be afraid. Let us just promise to stick together” said Ivan.

As they moved on, the sound became louder and clearer. And then all of a sudden they saw that the sounds were coming from a gigantic spider-like creature. Gogol took a branch from the ground to hit the creature when Ivan stopped him. “Don't hit him. He seems as scared as we are. It could have attacked us, if it wanted to. But see, it is not moving at all.”

“Yes! You are right” said Gogol.

Then Ivan went near the creature and patted him. That seemed to soothe him.

“You seem like good creatures”, it spoke.

Ivan and Gogol were shocked to know that he could speak their language. “How do you know our language?” asked Ivan.

“I know everything about you. I can read minds. I am Kegi and I made those loud sounds to bring you near me.”

I got you here through that hole. It is called a transponder. And I can help you get back to your world also. But the reason you are here is that we needed someone from outside this universe to kill a beast, Zorad, who is trying to kill everyone here.

“How can we help you?” asked Ivan.

You can help us by making some weapons from your world which Zorad will not know about and that might help us in overpowering him.

“But we don't know anything about how to make them”, said Gogol.

“I know that”, said Kegi. “I can put the knowledge of the entire humankind into your heads. But I cannot do that to myself or anyone from our world, since we are made up of different composition. We need you, because he will not know how you can think, and thus can be deceived by you.”

“First let me take you somewhere, where you can get some rest. You seem like you need it.”

After resting for a while, when they got up, Kegi gave them some food to eat, which though unfamiliar was very tasty. They both loved it.

Gogol asked Kegi about Zorad. Kegi said, “Zorad planned to take over the entire planet, and capture the super powers of all the beings there. He will then move on to other planets, including your earth, and do the same there in his hunger to become the strongest being in the multiverse. Right now he isn't as strong, but once he captures all the powers of this planet, we won't be able to stop him in his mission.”

”We have all the things that you might need to make the weapons. I will now transfer the knowledge into your mind, Gogol. Ivan, I will give you some weapons from our planet to help us in the fight”, Kegi announced.

After getting the knowledge Gogol made a high-intensity bomb to destroy Zorad.

They traveled through many forests, for many days to reach Zorad’s castle. They then confronted Zorad and challenged him into a fight. Zorad was bigger than anything they had ever seen or imagined.

Zorad laughed when he saw little children in front of him. He told Kegi, “Are these your saviors? Bring them on. I am not scared on little kids.”

Gogol and Ivan expected this. He didn’t know what weapons they had with them. Ivan started distracting him with their local weapons, so that Zorad thinks that he can easily win this fight. In the meanwhile, Gogol went behind him and attached the bomb on his clothes.

As soon as Ivan could manage to run away from Zorad, Gogol pressed the trigger to the bomb. In seconds Zorad was completely blown into pieces.

After it had all ended, Kegi thanked them for their help. He then took them to the tunnel to send them back to where they had come from.

He bid them farewell, as he knew that they might never be able to meet again. He gave both of them a flower from his planet as a souvenir, to keep with them. He said that this flower will never die and give them extra powers in any trouble that they may face.

Gogol and Ivan cherished their gift and thanked Kegi for an unforgettable experience and adventure they had.

They went through the transponder back into the ditch that they had fallen into. They realized that it was still the day before the heavy blizzard in Yakutsk. Time seemed to have stopped while they were away. They climbed back onto the surface with the help of the flower given by Kegi. Once on ground, they spotted their parents. They went into their home and remained inside till the blizzard had passed.

They could never share their experience with anyone for the fear that people might think that they are crazy. But they knew that they had nothing to fear now and hoped to meet their newfound friend Kegi again sometime in the future.
