There are only a handful of houses in this small neighborhood at the far end of the city. And this Haldar house, which is about one hundred and twenty years old, is located in the most secluded place in that neighborhood. Lack of care and repair is causing the limestone to fall off the walls. Still, this huge house stands on a couple of acres of land with its head held high and almost empty. There was a ghat on the south side of the house. It will be better if you say that it is not a pond now. Moreover, the house is full of trees and the forest is so dense that the sunlight cannot enter there properly. Along with mango, blackberry, and jackfruit trees, there are several other valuable trees. There are several teaks and red sandalwood trees. Besides, a specialty of this house is that when you push the big lion door in front of the house, you can see it. A dazzling rose garden. How many colorful roses there are in that garden cannot be counted. Even if everything gets old and decays Only this rose garden maintains one percent of the beauty of this old abandoned house. It is surprising to think that there is no one in such a big house today except Mrs. Ranjabati Haldar, the owner of the house. The once luxurious Haldar house today stands alone as a haunted house. Nowadays no one comes to this house. During the daytime, you can see a couple of birds, cats, dogs, but at night not a single animal can be seen. Mrs. Ranjabati has been living alone in this house for decades. With age comes the mind Depression is all over the place. She can't sleep at night, so as soon as night falls, she comes and sits on the two-storied verandah. When the full moon shines, the soft light of the moon comes from the gaps in the trees and fills this huge house and the rose garden in front of the house with light. Mrs. Ranjabati saw the rose garden which was made by her own. That is her only companion in this lonely life. At one time she was in charge of this huge house.

But today everything is gray, including the house, due to lack of care. But that rose garden is still smiling day and night with hundreds of colorful roses on its chest. Ranjabati Devi has a slightly different attitude towards this rose garden. Once upon a time, every morning and afternoon, she and her husband used to sit on the verandah and drink tea to see the beautiful view of the rose garden. At that time this Haldar house was full of joy. Ranjabati Devi's daughters used to come to her father's house from time to time. Son Ranjan was the jewel in everyone's eye, he kept laughing and playing all the time. Friends, relatives, servants seemed to be wandering around this Haldar's house all the time. But in the world of happiness came the cloud of sorrow. Ranjabati Devi's husband suddenly disappeared one day. And since then, everything seems to have changed. Little by little, the life of Haldar's house began to break down. Son Ranjan left for New Zealand for work. The girls also stopped communicating and they are no longer looking for their mother. The Servants did not get enough money in return for their work and slowly went away. The boys and girls often asked their mother to give the house to the promoter. But Ranjabati Devi is unhappy about it, she will not leave her house anywhere. She will not give this house to anyone else. There are many memories of her husband in this house. And there is a rose garden which is very much close to her heart. The boys and girls did not take any further action thinking that the mother's mental condition was no longer normal. What is the pity of Ranjabati Devi for a man who suddenly disappears one day after having an affair with an old woman while having a full family? That's enough!! And she will stay in this haunted abandoned house after the memory of her husband. Boys and girls can't understand anything. And another idiotic thing is the rose garden. Who knows why Ranjabati Devi is crazy about the rose garden. Yeah, all that sounds pretty crap to them. Daughters do not agree with their mother. They also do not like to have a good relationship with their mother. Ranjabati Devi did not say anything. Actually, she has nothing to say to anyone, no answer to anyone. But she knows she will not be able to leave this house or that rose garden until after her death.
