Indrajit was an innocent and a happy-go-lucky guy who had just finished class 12 and had appeared for the NEET examination. He had put in his best endeavours for the past two years and had worked relentlessly to achieve his goal of bagging a top 50 AIR(All India Rank) which would facilitate his admission into AIIMS Delhi, his dream college. He had fared very well in the NEET exam and had secured an All India Rank of 35 and his dream came true. He was a pious person and an ardent devotee. He thanked God for making his dream true and prayed to God to give him the ability to hear others thoughts so that he would be able to cure everyone and relieve them from stress. God granted his wish. He was now able to sense the perception that everyone had about him.

He was in for a rude shock when he found out that his "friends" whom he had considered as his extended family had turned their heads against him. They were filled with vengeance, jealousy, hatred and anger. They pretended to be happy and friendly in front of him but their minds were intoxicated with negativity.

He was broken. His friends were holding grudges against him. The counseling for admission into medical colleges was delayed due to various court cases that were pending in the Supreme Court. He wanted to hang out often with friends and socialise with everyone, but his introverted nature prevented him from doing so. He was held up at his house all the time and felt lonely and depressed.

He was obese as he had led a sedentary lifestyle during his NEET preparation days. He started walking across the garden close to his house. Passers-by used to stare at his physique and give a weird look. He knew that they were teasing and body shaming him. He felt really hurt as he had never been judgmental about anything in his life. He had been living in a world filled with a limited number of people whom he had thought were closely knit with him. The world was slowly opening up. He was gaining exposure to the harsh realities of the world.

Radom strangers used to ask him for tips to crack the NEET examination. He felt overwhelmed initially but later realized that the aspirants were having negative perceptions about him, for his name was published in the advertisements of multiple coaching institutes and there were false accusations made about him, stating that he had sold his rank to various coaching institutes for money. In addition to that, he knew that the aspirants would never follow the tips and advice given by him and they were bombarding him with irrelevant questions. Relatives and acquaintances had also deserted him due to sheer jealousy which he could sense from his newly acquired abilities.

He started spending more time with his parents and started having fruitful conversations with them. He realized that his parents were extremely proud of him and have always been the pillars of support. He realized that they have sacrificed a lot in their lives for his comfortable upbringing. He realized that his teachers and parents had scolded him several times for his goodness and was enlightened on finding his true well-wishers. God had given him a golden opportunity to broaden his horizon about the psychology of people. He realized that he had been living in a world of illusion until then and had no true friends. He realized that the world is harsh and judgmental and only well-wishers would stand by during his turbulent times. He realized that friends may keep coming and going but only well-wishers and God would be his constant companion. He had attained enlightenment about his niche. He thanked God for granting him the wish . It was a blessing in disguise. He joined AIIMS Delhi and was henceforth careful about choosing his social circle . He is now a successful medical practitioner and a mental health counselor .
