It’s commonly said that spirits do exist. Sounds scary isn’t it! People have lots of expectations hidden in their heart which they can’t disclose naturally. So it remains unfulfilled. It’s a common belief that spirits do come and visit their closed ones if their wishes are not fulfilled. Sometimes these souls return and their arrival do surprise common people! Anyways I will not create any false humor. Let’s pay attention to the story of Aakash. Aakash, a 30 year old man is a film producer who doesn’t believe in the concept of ghosts. His films are quite interesting and motivating ones. The most interesting thing about him is that he always likes to take challenges in life not caring whether it is life threatening or not.

Once his friend Abhi told him ‘ Have you heard about Kandarpa Narayan bhoot bangla? ‘ Aakash replied ‘ Leave it Abhi , it’s just an old zaminadar’s house”.Abhi further told Aakash , ’You always like challenges , don’t you?’ Aakash told ‘Yes! But I don’t want to waste my time on that old damaged house’. Abhi scared Aakash and told ‘ Just visit that house once, I bet you will like it as a plot for your upcoming film’. Aakash always wanted to make art films which are quite creative . But his films didn’t perform well because of their boring and difficult plots. Aakash hesitated first hearing Abhi’s proposal but after that he agreed.

Zamindar Kandarpa Narayan was aggressive king living in that gigantic palace of Ulapur village . He had a special liking for hunting and antics. Aakash and Abhi had to drive a long distance after that they reached that deserted house. Aakash stepped outside of his car and told Abhi, ’The atmosphere is charming , anyways lets go inside this so called Bhoot bunglow. The house was like a duplex and there were royal luxurious rooms where dust even seemed to be expensive. Costly ancient chairs were there and the first floor was inhabited by the watchman and the scary care taker. He went outside and asked them, ” Sir, how can I help you?”. Aakash and Abhi narrated their entire intention.

The caretaker in a warning tone said, "Okay sir you are most welcome to live here but remember one thing that don’t ever try to climb upstairs”. Aakash asked , ”Why? Will those so called ghosts eat me up?” mocked Aakash. The caretaker told , ”Many years ago our zamindar used to bring small village girls and appointed them as the servants.” Then one day a girl who used to cook in the kitchen served hot food to the zamindar and accidentally dropped his favorite vase. He shouted and said “Beat this girl and don’t leave her”. Then he destroyed all the plants grown by her. Her name was Kamini.

Kamini was a teenager of 17 years old. She worked as a cook in the bunglow to help her father earn money. She had a hobby of planting seeds. She wanted a beautiful forest to be grown around the bunglow. She was a nature lover indeed. Before the courtiers dragged her she told , ”Oh you cruel wicked, kill me but leave my plants. They are innocent creatures”. The king destroyed all the seeds in the yard and ordered Kamini to be given death sentence. Poor Kamini just looked straight her eyes were blank, she didn’t cry and accepted her fate. The caretaker further said, ” After a few days of that incident the zamindar was killed. Nobody knew who killed him. He died of heart attack.” The caretaker told, ”Kamini’s spirit still goes here and scares everybody. Whoever has seen her will die”.

Aakash thought of Kamini a little about her story and the torture through which she went. Aakash told, ”Let’s see what happens”. At night all lights went off and the caretaker including watchman were nowhere to be seen. Suddenly Aakash heard a sound . It seemed somebody was playing violin. Aakash boldly stepped upstairs and saw the lights were on . He felt his throat was dry and lips were turning blue because of fear. But brave Aakash did manage this. He took his lantern and said , ” Who’s there?”. Suddenly he felt somebody laughing. After that he heard Abhi’s sound saying, "Aakash ! Save me”. Somebody dragged Abhi recklessly upstairs and he was severely injured. Aakash ran to reach out to Abhi but now he vanished . An invisible and scary laugh occupied the air telling, ” Go from here otherwise die”. After Aakash hurried downstairs he saw Abhi lying injured .

He was very sad, shocked and surprised too. He admitted Abhi in a nearby hospital. That night Aakash couldn’t sleep . He was sad to see his friend’s misfortune. He took an oath, ”I will surely take revenge”. That night Aakash put all lights on and taking his lantern went upstairs. Soon the time was 2 am. Again a mysterious sound came. But this time Aakash was prepared. He told, ”Come come ! If you are brave fight with me”. Soon somebody dragged him and pushed him. He suffered a minor injury after that he saw a girl standing infront of him. That girl had a frightening face and broken hands. Aakash told , ”Leave my friend. What do you want?”. The girl tried to injure Aakash once but this time he shouted saying Gayatri Mantra. The girl shouted in pain and said, ”Leave me” . Aakash became pitiful and questioned, ”What do you want Kamini?” Kamini cried in pain and said, ” Bring my plants back then I will leave forever. The ghost of Kamini told Aakash to fulfill her last wish of growing plants around the palace, then only her soul can sleep in peace. Then that scary body vanished. Aakash became tensed and said, ”How will I plant healthy seeds amidst this weeds and creepers”. The next day he went to the town and called some men to clear up the weeds. He started planting seeds from the next day onwards.

During this time of 3 days, Aakash stayed with Abhi in the hospital. After 5 days, Abhi was discharged. Abhi and Aakash drove back to town. After returning Aakash told Abhi, ” We will go to this bunglow after 1 year and I have told the caretaker to water the seeds daily”. Abhi told, ”Will Kamini leave that palace now?”. Aakash told, ” May our plants give relief to kamini’s soul which is full of pain and wounds”. One year has passed. Aakash and abhi again drove back to Ulapur. The caretaker is still there taking care of that palace. They witnessed a miracle! All seeds which Aakash had planted grew into tall leafy trees. The caretaker happily said, ” Sir now I can go upstairs! No body frightens me and Kamini , I am sure she is happy now”. Aakash smiled then as he went upstairs he saw that rooms were cleaned properly. Suddenly Aakash heard a sweet voice saying , ”Thank you Dada, You have gifted me a free life now”. Aakash turned and saw a light shadow of a girl smiling . He went forwards but the shadow disappeared. Aakash smiled and spent a night in that bunglow. The next day Aakash and Abhi retured to the city. At last Aakash smiled and said, ” Now I have got a beautiful theme of a new film”. He wrote about Kamini and produced the film. He got an excellent award. Aakash and Abhi often from that day used to visit the bunglow often . After that Aakash told the caretaker to use it as a rest house for tourists who passed from here. One year passed. Aakash visited that bunglow but now it was no longer

Deserted. Few tourists were living there. Aakash smiled and said ”Now the bunglow looks lively! But one thing still missing and that’s Kamini who gifted her last wish of planting the seeds.” Aakash missed Kamini but felt relived on thinking that now her soul has finally attained peace.
