Time – Our Best Teacher

Once there was a king. He wanted every work to be done according to his orders. He had one son. Soon his son grew and was then made the new king. The very next day king went hunting. As he was free from his duties, he went alone on a horse. King got lost in the jungle and was not able to return home. Meanwhile, the king’s son was performing his duties very well. So the subjects didn’t miss their king. On the other hand king struggled to find a way to reach home but failed to do so.

Days went by, no one came to search the king in the jungle as people were very pleased by the prince. Months passed. One day the king saw a hut in the jungle. He went there and asked for shelter. A sage came out and asked, “Who are you?”. The king replied, “I am the king of your country. I have lost my way and need shelter. I order you to arrange the same for me”. The sage told. “What if I don’t arrange for you?”. King became angry and told,” Then I will kill you”.

The sage replied with a smile, “And again, you will get lonely”. King was shattered by his words. He realized the pain of living alone. Sage explained,” Gone were the days where people obeyed all your orders. Now the time has changed. Learn to live with present.”. The king soon realized his mistake and started living with the sage in his hut as a common man and never thought of going back to his kingdom.

It’s time, which teaches and controls everyone. So don’t try to capture, defeat, or control your time. The more you do, the more you lose. Just flow with time and you will always be happy.
