TRANSFORMER: CHAPTER 3

                 

NOTE: It’s a continuation of my previous stories: Transformer- Chapter 1 and Transformer- Chapter 2. This story is based on Author’s fiction. It doesn’t have any connections with real-life incidents or historical references. It's the final installment of "Transformer Trilogies."

2017

MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA

Naseerudin helped Janaarth to flee for Jammu and Kashmir alongside Harini. While, Sharan is mourned by the city as a hero. Rohinesh and the police launch a man hunt for getting Transformer.

After going to Jammu and Kashmir with Harini, Janaarth returned to Mumbai. But, he never showed his face to the public and leads his life by hiding in an underground base camp, that he have built in the house of his father.

FIVE YEARS LATER

NARA, WEST JAPAN

Five years passed now. Till now, Transformer have not returned to Mumbai. Organized crime has been eradicated slowly in Mumbai thanks to the Sharan Act giving extended powers to the police department. Commissioner Rohinesh has kept the criminal acts of Dent after his disfigurement a secret and allowed the blame for his crimes to fall on Transformer.

He has prepared a speech revealing the truth but decides not to read it. Meanwhile, Janaarth and Harini leaves to Nara, a western city located in Japan for some days.

FRIDAY

JULY 8, 2021

A man opened fire on Mr. Abe, from behind with an apparently homemade gun as he spoke at a drab traffic island in the western city of Nara. Being the longest-serving leader’s and former Prime Minister of Japan, his death shocked the public and media.

It was the first assassination of a sitting or former Japanese premier since the days of pre-war militarism in 1930’s. Speaking before Mr. Abe’s death was announced. Prime Minister Fumio condemned the shooting in the “strongest terms” while Japanese people and world leaders expressed shock at the violence in a country in which political violence is rare and guns are tightly controlled.

“This attack is an act of brutality that happened during the elections- the very foundation of our democracy- and is absolutely unforgivable” said Mr. Kishida, struggling to keep his emotions in check. Police arrested a 41-year old man suspected of carrying out the shooting. The identified named Tetsuya says them, “He was dissatisfied with Abe and wanted to kill him.” Sensing trouble, Janaarth and Harini returned to Mumbai within a week of time.

Meanwhile Imran Kakuji, a masked terrorist and former member of the Lord of Transformers and Yakuza gang(of Japan), abducts scientist Dr. Mahadev Naidu from an Indian Aircraft in Hyderabad. Inside the flight, his men brutally murdered the security guards and army men.

In the resulting fight, Imran falls down. But, he manages to defend himself using rope. When a few Indian Army officers tried to kill him, Imran Kakuji kills them by using his supernatural powers.

“Why are you trying to kill me?” asked the Doctor. When a man tries to kill the doctor, Imran stopped him to do so. Since, at least one of them needs to survive. Now, he said the doctor, “Don’t be afraid doctor. Why should you fear? There’s a lot to go on from now.” Imran Kakuji is the head of Sumiyoshi, a liberation group operating in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Japan respectively.

Some Yakuza gang members also form a part of his gang. Apart from terrorism activities, Imran Kakuji and his gang involved in various international crimes. There are many tattooed Yakuza members imprisoned in various Asian prisons for such crimes as drug trafficking and arms smuggling in 1997. Now, Imran Kakuji arrives in Mumbai. He sets up his base in the city sewers.

 MUMBAI POLICE DEPARTMENT

TWO DAYS LATER

8:30 PM

Two days later, a meeting is organized by Mumbai Police department and Rohinesh. There, a mayor says: “It’s because of Sharan, we are together in this place. Even though he died, he still lives in our heart. In order to protect the city of Mumbai, Sharan struggled a lot. In the process, he have sacrificed his own life for the nation. Five years back, this country became something new. If one city is there, crime would also be there. Until Sharan act is there in the public, criminals can’t do their crimes and it’s a fact. In the hearts of people, Sharan act has attracted an unforgettable place. As a Mayor I definitely appreciate this.” He further appreciates Janaarth and Naseeruddin for arranging this meeting and points out that: “Janaarth is unable to come here today due to his personal works.” 

“Now an important person is coming to talk with you all” says the Mayor. While, a person asked Commissioner Rohinesh: “Have you ever saw Janaarth in this party?”

“Not only me. Several people have not seen his face.” Some officers said pointing out that: “Even though he is the son of a known police inspector Krishna Salaskar, they never saw him in the public.”

The Mayor continued to tell: “I felt surprised when people trust a masked guy. He have killed Sharan through his cunningness and backstabbed him. No one would kill a good-hearted person like Sharan, who wanted to do good for this society.” Now, he invites Commissioner Rohinesh to speak in the mike by telling him a close accomplish to Sharan.

Everyone clapped as he gone in front of mike to speak. Standing in front of the mike, he looked at his paper and read: “Truth. Few truths lies in my mind. If I say this now, it’s against the words of Mayor. Telling that truth at this point of time is not good. But, you should know this definitely. His Sharan Act helped us to arrest and imprison so many criminals in Mumbai. They are all worst criminals. To control them, we need a separate system. To say even more frank, the death of Sharan is a big loss and he have done some good.”

Some women meanwhile discussed about Janaarth’s house.

“Do you know whose house is this?”

“A person living in this house never goes out it seems. He met with an accident, says people.”

“Yes. His face have changed.” Meanwhile, Naseeruddin shouted at George accusing his people for using first stairs. He asked the girls to go upstairs to a drawing room. There, they have to keep a drawing inside and lock.

Meanwhile, Naseeruddin goes to meet Janaarth in a personal room, which is stopped by a businessman. He asked him to attend the function, instead. The businessman questioned a lady named Himari inside the room: “Why should you invest with Janaarth, despite knowing that it would be a loss? Instead, you can invest to me right?”

“He is working on an important mission to protect this world. It’s an important project nevertheless of whether it’s waste or not. Mr. Don’t try to waste my time. Since, this investment problem is next problem. It should be spoken in future.”

Meanwhile, in Krishna Salaskar’s home, when police were having drinks, an inspector asked: “Whether the second shift officers returned?” to which he replied: “You could have stayed with Mayor for some more time.”

“You are more close with Rohinesh right. Really, the crimes have reduced?”

The officer joked, “He is just a dummy” and said, “His wife and children went away from him. And the mayor would insult him inside the room.” Meanwhile, Janaarth meets Harini in her personal room, where they share some memorable conversations and grew intimate by having sex.

Meantime around 3:15 AM, Sanjay Veerarajan met Rohinesh. He says, “Janaarth never returned to house since the function was over in Krishna Salaskar’s house.”

“Don’t worry. We will catch him soon.”

“You and Sharan feared so many criminals in the past. After Sharan left, it seems like you are tired because of aging. Am I right?”

“Hmm.” Rohinesh said. Sanjay asked: “Sir. You still have the courage to reduce crimes?” Hearing this, Rohinesh asked: “Ok. What’s your name?”

“Sanjay Veerarajan sir.”

“You can directly ask me the question, Sanjay.”

“Five years back, Sharan was killed in this same day during midnight. Witness have said that, ‘Transformer killed Sharan by strangling his neck alongside the SWAT team officers.’ He have hidden somewhere after the death of Sharan.” Hearing this, Rohinesh asked: “Are you asking me questions or telling me the answers?”

“Do you really know who have done that?”

Rohinesh replied: “Why doesn’t I know? He only. That transformer did all these things.” Sanjay went near to him when he replied him so. Meanwhile, Naseeruddin comes to the personal room of Janaarth to give him coffee. As he isn’t present anywhere around the place, he goes to the dark well to find him spending some qualitative time with Harini. Feeling happy, Naseeruddin requests him to marry her to which he agreed. Soon, Harini becomes pregnant with Janaarth’s child and they subsequently get married.

Few days later on August 10^th, Naseeruddin requests Janaarth to take his avatar as Transformer to which he refuses. He tells him: “I have already died when Sharan and his wife Yamini have been killed.”

“What to do? Whatever happens, we have to move forward in our life forgetting those things as a bad dream. We shouldn’t stuck there. In Mumbai city, again the drugs trafficking have increased. Crimes are increasing again. Five years have passed and my hopes for your return vanished completely.” Naseeruddin said and he depicts, “How he felt happier when he is having a happy life with Harini.” He requests him to lead a happy life, which is his only wish.

The old man further asked him, “Not to return for Mumbai city again. Since, it could only cause him to feel the pain and suffer.” Meanwhile, Sanjay Veerarajan visits Daravi, where his assistant said: “For months, a dead body will be found. Homeless people stay in this port. Sometimes, we will chase them all out. They will trick us and escape, however.” When going to the sea port, they finds out the dead body of an unnamed person. Sanjay learns his name as Christopher Jose. He stayed in St. Joseph’s Boys Hostel. He visits the hostel where the head said: “For the past three months, Joseph didn’t even came to the hostel.”

“Why? What happened?”

“Don’t you know what the teenagers will do when they come to the hostel. Whatever way we try to control these students, they won’t obey their parents and their house.” The Hostel warden said to him, heard by the Hostel head.

“Whether the foundation of Naseerudin Shah helped your son?” asked Sanjay to which, the Hostel head replied: “Mm. For the past two to three years, no help from this foundation.”

“Your son have an younger brother?” Sanjay asks to which, the head replied: “Yes. His name is John Christopher.” Meeting John Christopher he asked him: “Did you know what your brother was doing inside the tunnel?” When he was asking questions, John saw kids playing games and felt some happiness.

“He just did things that his same peer age groups use to do.” He bowed his head down and scratched the floor. Aftermath he added: “Hiding in the tunnel, they frequently do some strange works.”

“What are the other things that know about him?” asked Sanjay to which John says, “Not much other than the things that I have explained to you now.” Looking at Sanjay he asked, “Whether Transformer would return to question these atrocities” to which, he replied: “I myself don’t know how to answer your question.”

12^TH SEPTEMBER 2021

7:30 PM

Meanwhile, Imran Kakuji prompts Naseeruddin’s corporate rival John Kokken to buy Janaarth’s fingerprints. Cat burglar Anjali goes to obtain Janaarth’s prints from Naseeruddin Manor for John Kokken. She disguises herself as a house maid and goes into the house of Janaarth, who is romancing with Harini. She searched in and around the house. While searching, Anjali sensed someone’s foot and suddenly felt like a bow have hit her neck. Turning back at Janaarth she said: “Oh! I am sorry. I am so sorry.” Pausing a while, she asked him: “Are you Mr. Janaarth, right? The present CEO of Naseeruddin’s company?”

As he starred at her, Anjali said: “Why I am asking means, you doesn’t have big nails in your hands. And no mark in your head.”

“Any other things you found about me?” asked Janaarth to which, she said: “None have seen you in person.” Looking the necklace that she wore, Janaarth said: “This necklace look so beautiful. When I look into it, I remember my mother’s necklace. Definitely, it won’t be that. Because, that’s there in this safe.” Locking the safe, he said: “It’s difficult for her to steal this safe from him. It’s very difficult for her to break.”

“Oops. None said about this to me eh!” Anjali said. Janaarth challenged her that, “She can’t go out by crossing him.” However, Anjali fights with him and manages to steal the fingerprints. Before leaving, she says Good night to Janaarth. Sensing trouble, Harini rescued him. While, Anjali asked John: “Shall we go for a round?”

“Sure. You have made a big problem.” When Janaarth regretted for failing to protect the safe, Naseeruddin and Harini mocked at him for letting her to his personal room.

LEOPOLD CAFÉ

11:30 AM

Meanwhile, Anjali met John Kokken at Leopold Café where he asked her: “Did you brought me what I asked you?”

Keeping the safe in the table, she said: “See. I don’t like wasting my time by talking unnecessarily with you.” Keeping the fingerprints in table, she said: “This is Janaarth’s fingerprints.” Looking at the fingerprints, he said: “Very nice.”

“Mm hmm.” Anjali said by looking at him. With her wicked smile, she asked: “Why are you in a haste all of a sudden? Are you ready to give me what I asked you?”

“Yes.” John said. When Anjali was communicating with him, she suddenly noticed John’s men locking the door. Laughing aloud with wicked smile, she said: “I don’t know what are you going to do with Janaarth’s fingerprints. But, you can’t do anything without the first finger!” John warned her to give the fingerprints, but she refuses to do so. Due to this, his henchman holds her in gun point.

She reluctantly agreed and gives the fingerprints. After giving the fingerprints, she asked permission to communicate with her friend, who ensures that there’s no problem. John decides to kill her. Anjali asked: “If you have gave me what I asked, I would have left silently right?”

“Mm. If I leave you alive, you would tell everything that happened to everyone. So!”

“No. You know? My friend had been searched by the police.” But, John said, “The Police won’t search her here.” However, she reminds about the phone, which he used. It was her friend’s. Angry, he fights with Anjali, who takes revenge against him for double-crossing him. The police comes to the place and fired bullets against John’s men, some of whom gets killed.

Anjali pretends to cry as a victim and allowed the police to go in. She escaped from the place. While, Sanjay reported the police that: “He have got John Kokken.” A violent gun chase ensue, in which numerous of John’s men are left dead. Several criminals are searched widespread by Sanjay’s police team and Rohinesh.

However, John and his men escape by entering into an underground tunnel. While, Rohinesh entered inside the tunnel. Hiding inside the tunnel, John’s men started to shoot and killed some of the police team. In the process, a gas explosion occurs and Rohinesh’s condition is unknown. As per the instructions of his senior officers, Sanjay decided not to enter inside the underground tunnel unless and until they knew what’s happening there.

“We know what’s happening there. Police commissioner.” Hearing this, the senior officer becomes angry. He asked Sanjay: “If something happened to anyone?” Keeping the gun in his abdomen, the officer asked about the whereabouts of the PWP people. While, Rohinesh is captured by John’s men. They drags him to John, where masked men are waiting with AK-47 guns and some dangerous weaponries.

“Why did you come here?” asked a man, who is not showing his face. He instead looked at the windows, filled with colorful elements.

“He is asking you right. Answer!” said John. His men beats up Rohinesh.

“I asked you idiot” said the man, who is actually Imran Kakuji. Now, he is bald-headed, shaving all his moustache and beard. He have drawn tattoo all over his body. He is wearing black mask, covering his nose and mouth. John said, “He is Police Commissioner of Mumbai. His name is Rohinesh.”

“Only because of you people, this officer have came here ah?”

“We have feared. Hence, we didn’t know what to do!”

“You have feared. Because of your fear, three people died.” Imran kills John. But, he spares the latter. Since, he have to research about Rohinesh so that he can proceed to kill the other guy.

Rohinesh finds out a paper in the pocket of Rohinesh and keeps it for reading in future. When Imran was about to read the paper, Rohinesh jumps into a running river. Now, the men of Imran shoots from all the corner. But, they eventually lose him in the river water.

“He is dead.” Imran’s men said to him.

“Then, show me his dead body.” Imran asked his henchman.

“This water gets separated and travels in different routes. We don’t know where did the body went.” His henchmen said. Imran gets the phone from his men and contacts his henchman asking him to follow Rohinesh, which confused the henchman. Imran shoots him to death. The henchman falls into the river. At the nick of time, Commissioner Rohinesh is saved by Sanjay.

SEPTEMBER 13, 2021

7:30 AM

The next day Sanjay visited Janaarth’s house around 7:30 AM, where Naseeruddin forbids him to enter the house telling him that, “He won’t meet anyone even if he’s a police officer.”

“If I come with an arrest warrant for murdering Sharan, will you allow me right, sir?” Sanjay asked him to which, Naseeruddin doesn’t say anything. He instead allows him to meet Janaarth.

“For what have you come to meet me sir?” asked Janaarth, to which Sanjay said: “Commissioner Rohinesh is shot. He went underground in a dirty river to catch some gangs. A masked men named Imran was there in that place.”

“You could better inform this to your superior police officer right?” asked Janaarth, to which Sanjay says, “Instead of reporting this information to my senior officers, I better wanted to report this to you. Hence, I came here.”

Janaarth gets up and stands beside the window. Sanjay now added, “Rohinesh needs you. I mean he needs Transformer.”

“Did Commissioner Rohinesh said anything about me?” asked Janaarth to which he replied: “Ah! No. He doesn’t know who are you and your whereabouts.” He continued to remind Janaarth that, “Once they have met each other in childhood.”

Seeing the photo of Lord Krishna, Sanjay said: “I grew up in an orphanage at Pune. When I was born, my mother was shot. My father, a police sub-inspector was brutally killed by terrorists in 2008 Mumbai blasts.” Wiping his tears, Sanjay continued: “In front of my eyes, my father was bludgeoned by the terrorists to a brutal death. They didn’t spare a 2-year old child too. Pointing the gun in her head, they killed her. At that time, my nerves and blood boiled. I wanted to become a police officer. People believed that I would become normal. But, they understood that he won’t turn normal and admitted me in Boy’s home. There, I understood that we have to live a fake life in this wicked world. Since then, I lived a meaningless life.” Sanjay further said that, “He very well know about Janaarth’s father Krishna Salaskar and Janaarth’s vigilante missions since his childhood days.”

“I don’t know why you behaved like such in Sharan. But, I still have trust and hope on you. In Transformer!” As he said this, Janaarth questioned: “As per your views, I think no funds are sent to the foundation, that’s started by Naseeruddin?”

Sanjay said yes to this and requested him to come for the outside world instead of staying in the same room. Since, he could understand the reality of today’s society. Looking at a pregnant Harini for a while, Janaarth eventually decides to return back to his avatar as the transformer.

“Who’s that Imran Kakuji? Did you check his details?” asked Janaarth to his uncle Naseeruddin.

“He is a henchman. Murdered people for money sake. Before years he and his men joined hands with Yakuza gang in order to escape the punishment for raping a girl named Junko Furuta for more than 40 days with a gang of his men when Imran was 17-years old. They started an own organization and started indulging in terrorism.”

Later, Naseeruddin is asked the reasons for the stoppage of funds to the trust to which he replied: “His enterprises is going in loss.” Henceforth, Janaarth decides to meet Lucius Fox. Aftermath, Janaarth checked his health status with the doctors, who asked him to be careful.

Aftermath, Janaarth wears the mask and meets Rohinesh as Transformer. There, Rohinesh gets treatment in ICU. He is tired and weak. Yet, he says: “We both joined together and struggled a lot. But, you went in between.”

“Because Transformer is no longer necessary. We have won the battle.” Transformer(Janaarth) said.

“You are thinking as such. We should have eradicated the evils starting from the stem. As we failed to do so, the stem have grown into a tree. Hence, Transformer should come back to his avatar.”

“If the Transformer fails to return?”

25^TH SEPTEMBER 2021

“He should return. Because, that’s the fate.” Meanwhile, Anjali returns back to her robbery business. She attacked an old man and grabbed all his money. Meanwhile, Imran attacks the Mumbai Stock Exchange by using Janaarth’s fingerprints in a series of transactions that leaves Naseeruddin bankrupt. Insisted and motivated by a pregnant Harini, Janaarth resurfaces as Transformer after five years.

He intercepts Imran and his subordinates. However, Naseeruddin is unconvinced that Janaarth is strong enough to fight Imran and resigns in hope to save him. Janaarth finds comfort in spending some qualitative time with his pregnant wife, Harini.

OCTOBER 2021 TO DECEMBER 2021

Using the stolen transactions, Imran meanwhile expands his operations. Anjali agrees to take Transformer(Janaarth) to Imran but instead leads him into Imran’s trap. Imran reveals that he intends to fulfill Rajesh’s mission to destroy Mumbai. He further revealed that, Rajesh’s real name is Haruki. Transformer(Janaarth) fights Imran in a brawl, but Imran defeats him, dealing a crippling blow to his back before taking him abroad to an underground prison in West Japan, where Yakuza gangs are more powerful and ruthless. There, he decides to lock him in an underground prison. Since the escape is virtually impossible here. The inmates tell Janaarth the story of Rajesh’s child, who was born and raised in the prison before escaping- the only prisoner to have done so.

Imran traps Mumbai’s police in the sewers and destroys the bridges surrounding the city. He kills mayor and forces Fox to convert the Naseeruddin Enterprises fusion reactor core into a decaying neutron bomb before killing him as well. Outside the Mumbai High court, Imran reads Rohinesh’s speech to a crowd, revealing the truth about Sharan. Shortly after he releases the prisoners of Mumbai jail, he instates martial law in the city, and exiles and kills Mumbai’s elite in Kangaroo courts presided over by Rajesh.

Three months later, Janaarth escapes from the prison and returns to Mumbai. As Transformer, he frees the police and they clash with Imran’s army in the streets, during the battle, Transformer(Janaarth) overpowers Imran. Himari intervenes and stabs Transformer(Janaarth), revealing herself as Haruki’s daughter and one of the members of Yakuza gang. She attempts to activate the bomb’s detonator, but the bomb fails to activate due to Rohinesh successfully blocking the signal. Himari leaves to find the bomb while Imran prepares to kill Transformer, but Anjali arrives and kills Imran. Transformer(Janaarth) and Anjali pursue Himari, hoping to bring the bomb back to the reactor chamber where it can be stabilized. Himari’s truck crashes, but she remotely floods and destroys the reactor chamber before dying. With no way to stop the detonation, Transformer(Janaarth) uses his aerial craft, the Bat, to haul the bomb far over the Bay-of-Bengal, where it safely explodes. Before takeoff, Transformer(Janaarth) subtly reveals his identity to Rohinesh.

In the aftermath, Transformer(Janaarth) is presumed death and honored as a hero. Naseeruddin enterprises becomes an orphanage and Krishna Salaskar’s home is left to Naseeruddin.

SOME MONTHS LATER

JANUARY 20, 2022

Some months later, Rohinesh finds the invasive surveillance network repaired. While Naseeruddin Enterprises new manager discovers that Janaarth had fixed the malfunctioning auto-pilot on Surveillance network. Meanwhile, Naseeruddin discovers that Janaarth is alive living happily with his wife Harini and newly-born female child in Pune, Maharashtra. While, Anjali eventually reforms as a good human being.
