Down in the grounds of Asmania, buried the brightest wonders of mankind- a gift that could change lives, a gift that could create the desired past, a gift that could correct mistakes and bring the world of humans to a universe filled with perfection and connections.

The one eternal power that no one could ever find except for Mr. Jones, was just lying a few millimeters inside the ground easier for anyone to grab and throw away until they know the real price.

"Asher! Come down here. Look what I found?" Called out Amy, from under her thick hood of the pink coat she wore, as she dug inside the dry mud to continue with her childish excavations she pulled out professionally.

"Not again Amy...... I am tired of all this nonsense stuff you get out of your little and senseless findings." Asher said.

"No wait, I swear it isn't senseless this time."

Asher sighed and walked slowly towards Amy uninterested. "What is it?" he asked as he folded his hands with a bunch of attitudes he would always have around her little sister. He usually found her annoying but family bonds always got to the core of his heart.

Amy got up to her foot and pulled out her hand to show him an old watch. It was covered with rust but the beauty seemed to have remained frozen with the temperature in the dry atmosphere. There were curved, wilted leaves with blooming flowers carved on the edges of the watch, it had crooked hands with no arrow at the end unlike the watch everyone else preferred to use and it was connected by two single-layered black leather materials.

Asher rolled his eyes, "This is junk! It's 3056! No one wears a watch that looks of the stone age."

"That's what makes it unique, brother! This is the only watch that exists after world war 3 that almost vanished all the information and innovations done by humans."

"And I should care because?"

"We would be famous! We have found a piece from history. Something that only a few can do!"

"Stop thinking that much and throw that piece of waste away, Amy! No one likes to study junk like these." Asher roared as he tried to snatch away the old watch from his sister's hand. Both of them caught hold of the watch pretty well and no one seemed to be the winner of the so-called 'snatch competition' they were indulged in.

Seconds after, a strange thing happened. The dial of the watch was accidentally tampered with by the young people between the fight and everything started spinning. The strips of the watch twisted themselves and stuck onto Amy's wrist and the dial of the watch started spinning faster and faster every second. The ground swept away from their feet, the buildings swirled and vanished after a gigantic jerk in the atmosphere, and the sky was swallowed by the tiny opening in the center of the watch.

"What's happening?!" Amy exclaimed with fear.

"Only if I could explain," Asher screamed.

There was nothing but darkness around them and for a few seconds, there was a frightful silence which was broken by a long and heavy thud. There was a sudden jerk in their warm bodies covered with confusion and dread. When the darkness vanished, they were in the same spot as before. They looked at each other, confused and agonized by the heavyweight in their heads they got by traveling the whole spinning of their surroundings.

"That was just a stupid illusion, take that watch out of your wrist now and throw it away," said Asher

Amy nodded, gulped in the dryness in her throat, and reached out to remove the watch. She couldn't. It had almost gotten inside her skin, attached.

"I guess it's too tight-" she announced.

"Stop making useless excuses."

Asher reached out for the watch in her hand but as soon as his outer skin of the index finder touched the watch, he was challenged with at least a few thousand newtons of force. He has pushed back a few blocks away which filled him with astonishment. With the need for some rest, they decided to go back home and have a nice supper.

Asher made his way forward to his house and almost screamed when Amy pulled him away from the entrance from their house where they saw themselves. No, it wasn't a mirror or an illusion this time. They couldn't take in any of the things that were happening to them. They saw themselves playing "knock and run" on the other end while they stood on another.

"That boy in my house is me which is not exactly me but according to what I see, it should be me." Asher fumbled

"I get what just happened."

Asher gave a quizzical look to her as she continued, "The theory of the lost Acorn!"

"How does an Acorn has to do anything with whatever is happening?"

"Let's first get ourselves to hide somewhere, brother." They ran towards a wooden door beside their backyard, opened it, and rushed down the marble stairs as the light turned out to introduce them to a familiar secret room they used to hang out in. They sat on the luxurious leather chairs as Amy continued,

"The lost Acorn wasn't actually about the real acorn. This, the watch in the hand is the Acorn!"

"I can't get this all."

"Well, lucky for you that I have studied a lot about the history of this town. A long time ago when there was a dreadful phase of the war, there lived a scientist- Dr. Jones Miller. He made the most expensive and valuable and mind-blowing invention that no one knows about- yet. It is said that it could be found in the most common thing around the people who thrive in the town that he died in and here we are- in the town he died in!."

"Woah! Wait! So you are saying that we have the world's greatest inventions of history made by a genius scientist?"

"Yes, we do."

"But what does this silly thing do anyway?"

"Didn't you get it yet? We just time traveled in our past."

"But how-"

"We weren't seeing things or illusions of ourselves back there. We saw ourselves doing the exact same things that we were practicing yesterday."

"Yeah you are right, I didn't quite pay attention to the details."

"I don't know if we can go back to the time we came from."

"The move the dial the other way and try?" Asher suggested.

Amy tried to move the clock clockwise for as to forward the time but nothing changed.

"I don't think we can go forward in time," Amy affirmed.

"Then let's wait till it's the next day and then we can be at our designated time and places."

Hours passed by and Amy had told a lot of things to Asher by then. They visited the 'One-click to go' library to know more about the history of the watch after hiding it under loads of rugs she borrowed from her house after sneaking from her past self. After a lot of effort they put to find the book, they finally found it.

'This treasure shall be passed to my generations for they know the use and need of the agenda I am trying to accomplish.' was the last line of the book "A history of the lost Acorn." They left the library after hours of researching when it was finally time to reach where they had started.

"I think we should find the real heirs of this watch and let them do their work further." Asher declared.

"Are you crazy? I know I must respect you as you are the elder one here but we can't let this opportunity slip from our hands so easily!"

"It does not belong to us, neither do we know the correct use of this thing."

"Imagine, we have the world's most precious controlling device which can actually take us into our past. Just imagine, we can at least change the mistakes we have done in the near past and then we would always be perfect."

"But Amy, what about the agenda behind the making of this watch?"

"Who cares? We will be having the time of our lives, common!"

And just like that, a little mission of being perfect started and changed the lives of these young teens. They visited their past self every day, corrected the mistakes, and come back to being called as 'perfection owners' of the town. They would tell inspect the lives of some people, travel into the past, tell themselves about everything and then start saving people from disasters, damages, and wrong silly turns. Days, weeks, months, and now a year has passed. They had become too famous around the world when one day they had visitors- Amanda and Matild Miller, the true heirs of the watch as per what their name, fate, background, and knowledge suggested.

"We ain't giving this back to you!" Amy shouted with fear and a lot of greed in her voice.

"Amy, we have had our time with-"

"Do not tell me you were playing with time for so long!" Matild howled. Asher couldn't help but nod in shame.

"Do you know how dangerous it is to tamper with time, especially when you don't know the way back from the past?" Amanda questioned with concern.

"This is a treasure that I found and I am not giving it back to you!" Amy was restless.

"Amy, we would have forgotten about this watch if it wasn't important for us to complete the task we were assigned-" said Matild, as she stepped lightly towards Amy and Asher to defend themselves with the damage they would cause with the watch.

"No! I don't care what task you are assigned with or what duty you have to take care of, this is my gift and I will use it my way." Amy shouted for the last time, held his brother's hand, and spun the dial of the watch with all the force she could have applied.

"NOOOO!" Amanda and Matild wailed as they disappeared in the thin air.

The world around them started to howl and everything started spinning with a great speed which was faster than light. It blinded them. Their heads became heavy with all the spinning they could feel in every vein of their body. Their vision fainted and they closed their eyes, afraid of something unknown. When the spinning stopped and everything was clear, they opened their eyes to only come eye to eye with a blank space- there was no ground or sky or anything to stand upon, it was just a blank, white aisle that had no ends.

"Where are we?" Asher asked as his eyes filled with moisture.

"I don't know I am scared," Amy answered as she hit the watch several times thinking that this would make everything better but everything just stopped.

"Scared? You made us travel right into the mouth of death!"

"I did what I had to do to protect a powerful gift, brother." Amy's voice grew darker and her eyes turned as white as marble.

"What are we supposed to do now?"

"Nothing..................." said Amy with a much heavier tone.

"For in the circle and dimensions of time," she continued "We are lost."
