We Were Banned!

It's a non fiction story based on a true incident, a story of me and my siblings. Entire tragedy was just a coincidence that happened with us. Even that time we have no idea that our childish behavior and our desperate desire brings out such incident, who robbed the sleep of entire village and we got punished.

From early childhood, we grew up in a maternal home. We live in a village surrounded by nature. In my village, there was a cave beneath the mountain, which were just a few miles away from my maternal home at the time. We heard a lot about this cave in our childhood, and we got very eager to visit that cave, which was located on a mountain.

So it was winter, and we all had winter vacations from school and went to Tutus. Finally, after tutorials, my siblings and I intend to visit our nearest village cave, which were only a few miles away from my maternal home at the time. We are desperate enough to visit that cave. We simply arrived at our maternal home, unpacked our belongings, ate lunch, obtained permission from our grandmother, who was the lady boss of our entire family at the time, and left. We took some money and joyfully exited the premises.

As everybody knows, in childhood, each child is full of innocence and pure-hearted. We're all full of innocence; no one among us was naughty. As we already planned, we brought some candles from our small village shop, which was in our midway at the time, and lit them up in the cave because we had heard that cave had darkness inside. We arrived at the small village store, bought a few candle packets, and dashed towards the cave. As quickly as we all walked like horses in a race, in between the distance of the cave and the village, there was a beautiful spring beneath the cave, surrounded by beautiful Chinar trees, where the entire village took the water. We just stopped to drink water, and a few women were filling their utensils with water and some were washing their clothes.

"They ask us where the entire platoon goes. We just replied innocently, "We are going to visit the cave," and left for the cave."

We arrived at the cave in a flash and were all taken aback by what we saw. Everything we heard about that cave was false, and what we  saw on the ground was a completely different scene: a small cave with some darkness and untidiness. So we're a little disappointed, and our enthusiasm wanes. There's no doubt that the cave was a beautiful piece of architecture and has its own history. The clear view of the entire area, however, stands out because the cave is located beneath a beautiful mountain just above the heights of the village. But one aspect of our childhood that we should be proud of is our unity. Well, we all did not lose hope and courage and made plans to clean and decorate that cave. We all worked together to collect some bush twigs to clean that cave both inside and outside, and in no time, we had cleaned the entire cave and lit a few candles inside and outside the cave.

The entire appearance of the cave changed; the whole cave inside shines with lights from candles. We were all so happy after spending so much time there that we decided to come back every week to decorate and clean up the cave. We now covered the mouth of the cave with a dried bunch of sticks and left to return home. Finally reach home, take some snacks, and take a rest. In the late evening, we shared our experiences with family members, and we were all eager to know more about the history of that cave. As the evening progressed, we all sat in one place in the living room, and all of our family members came from inside to inquire.

"You all visited the cave today; have you people seen anything there? We simply say "no" because we have no idea what is causing everyone's concern."

In the meantime, one of our siblings appeared from outside and shouted that the whole cave area was surrounded with flames. We all rush outside into the cold to see the scene; it's around 8 p.m. Now we understand why everyone inquired about the cave place.

On the outside, each family member shares their perspective about the flames, but we know the exact reality of the flames. Some speculate that it could be some tribes who live there; others speculate that it could be any medic; and so on. We siblings just go inside in a jiffy and direct each other; we don't share anything. We become terrified, not eating properly or sleeping well, because we know what caused the flames. Even villagers go into deep thought and share their own views about such an incident. We keep quiet and close our mouths because we know if we reveal the secret to anyone, we will be punished. That night, half of the villagers were terrified by what was happening in the cave because the flames shone brighter and brighter all night. The flames from the candles ignited the pile of dry wooden sticks, which spread like a spark throughout the cave.

Due to the darkness at night, the sparks brittle more widely, which creates havoc among all people. My maternal uncle and a few other villagers discussed the incident the next morning and decided to go to the cave to see what happened there. In the meantime, the village shopkeeper approached my maternal uncle and said,

"Yesterday noon, your children came to my shop and brought a few candle packets. What did you have to do with such a bundle of candles? Because you did not use it, and also there was no power outage. That shopkeeper has finally revealed our secret.

We were no longer feeling well because our maternal uncle had gotten wind of the night's incident. We were all fast asleep when our maternal uncle yelled, "Wake up!" and scolded us. Everyone in our family is shocked at why he scolded us. Now, when my grandparents ask him what happened with you, he replies that the whole night's drama happened because of them. He was explaining each matter to other family members, and they all started to scold and yelling at us.

All the family members were yelling at us; do you know if the villagers know who was behind that whole incident? They created rifts and differences with us and called out the police. We all felt helpless and numb because the whole environment was against us. We know very well that we got punished very badly, and like a shameless person, we have now internally prepared ourselves for punishment. We kept asking for an apology, and finally we got punished. We were prohibited from leaving the premises on that day. We never went back to being permissive after that incident because our maternal uncle directs all family members nobody will allowed them to go outside exclude school and tuitions.

All the tragedy happens unexpectedly just a              coincidence of our childish nature and our desperate wish. Even we wasn't expected that our vist at grave exploded in such tragedy, and robbed everyone's sleep that night. Nowadays whenever we all cousins and family members get together and remind about that incident, we all laugh out loudly and thank our childhood that gave us such memory. Even we all share that incident with our dears, they also laughed and gave us different title's in rejoice. Now we all grew up and also our family members gets older but our childhood tragedy memory never fades.
