" Abby! Here doggy - doggy. I'm back! I've brought you a toy too! Come out, come out wherever you are ", I called to Abby my dog. I called for a long time but what ? I got no response. I searched the entire house and didn't find her anywhere.I couldn't spend a minute without her. Just then " Ding - Dong ", sang the doorbell.

I rushed to the door with hope of finding my dog but who do I see ? It was my mother. My mother saw I was worried and asked me why. I told her I couldn't find Abby. She said, " Abby must be playing with her friends down the street don't worry she will come ". An hour past and it started getting dark. My mother couldn't stand seeing me sad and started searching the house. She said," Oh! I found you.. ".

I jumped off the sofa and headed towards her and said, " Found what mom ? ". She said, " I found my long lost ring! ". Did I tell you she couldn't stand being far from jewellery too ? " Mom! You were supposed to be finding ' Abby '. Does this ring a bell ?

" Oh sorry, I can't find her anywhere, sweetheart. " I started to get more worried. I went outside the house to find her. I went house to house, place to place but there was no sign Suddenly, I saw puppy footprints. I started to follow them in hope to find Abby. Those footprints led me to a river.

I thought, " Oh no! What if she drowned ? I better take a boat." I started paddling the boat restlessly and saw a puppy drowning. I paddled more quicker than ever. When I picked the drowning puppy I was shocked!

That puppy wasn't Abby! It was my friends Sharon's dog. With broken hope I went to Sharon's place. When I gave the doorbell I heard Abby barking! Where was the sound coming from ?

Sharon opened the gate and in her hand was ' Abby '. She said she sneaked in to my house with muddy feet and me and my mother had to clean it all. We washed her and I was about to bring her to you. But, I lost my puppy. I said, " No, you didn't ", giving her dog to her. She explained Sharon the entire story and they both took a sigh of relief.

The puppy's and their owners were reunited once again.
