WINGS- A Magical World..

A girl named Park Jihyun lived with her family in Geumjong-gu, Busan. Her family consisted of her brother, Park Junghyung, and their grandma, Park Jisoo. Their parents died in a car accident when Jihyun was 7 and Junghyung was 5. Jihyun, although, didn’t know the reason behind a thing that was happening to her. While grandma was there, making Junghoo (nickname of Junghyung kept by her grandma) ready for the day, Jihyun would lock herself in the bedroom; trying to make out things well. Now, you might be thinking that what is happening to her. In fact, except for her grandma, nobody knew about it. The fact was, Jihyun was the daughter of a normal family but she was adopted; her parents knew about this but unfortunately, they were not there to support her. Her grandma knew she told her about this when she reached puberty.

Junghyung never felt this way because he was the legitimate son. Before her grandma told her, Jihyun didn’t know why these small, soft, wing-shaped things came out of her body. She felt this abnormal and decided not to go out of the house even after knowing about it. While Junghoo tried a lot to call her out of the bedroom to play; she never responds to him.

The days passed, years went by and both of them were left alone in the house. Grandma passed away due to a heart attack. One day, Junghoo got irritated by her sister’s behavior and came inside the room, smashing the door behind him, and said, “What has happened- “. He suddenly stopped. He was shocked by whatever he saw. A girl was sitting on the floor, facing her back towards him. He said, “Who are you, lady?”. She turned around. He was even more shocked when he saw it was- Jihyun. “Jihyun n-noona?” he stammered. “Yes,” she said. “How did you get these wings and how is it possible?” he said shockingly.

“I have to go Junghoo.” She replied in a sad but feared tone. “But why?” he asked. “I am a fairy, Junghoo. Our parents were normal, you are normal but I… I was adopted. Grandma told me about this when it was your birthday, but I could not give you your gift. Today, I have to go to the fairies’ school. Leaving you behind.” “Why can’t I come? I want to be with you noona.” Junghoo realized why his grandma restricted him to go inside her sister’s room. “You can’t go with me brother. It is a place of fairies. Don’t worry. I will come back one day to see you.” She said while standing up and cupping his cheeks with her hands. “As you wish noona. But please t-take care-e of yours-self and d-don’t forget me.” He said while sobbing. “Don’t cry, brother. You know I hate it when you cry.” He nodded letting his tears run down through his cheeks. She hugged him “Now, I have to leave. I have a purpose in this life; a way in which I can effectively use these wings. Bye...” Then she left.

That’s where a journey of her life started; making her parents and her family proud.
