Wish We Could Meet Again

It was the month of August 2014 when Samayra received a pop-up on her social media platform. The friend request was from someone who meant a lot to her. At first, she ignored it, feeling hurt and thinking why it took so long. Her friends always teased her by mentioning his name and the way she blushed or dreamed of him. They had known each other since childhood, having gone to the same school and coaching and been part of the same social circle, but still, their feelings had remained unspoken.

Finally, he broke the silence by texting her and saying "hi". Samayra's heart skipped a beat, and although she tried to act like she didn't care, she replied to him. They began talking regularly, from texting to calling, and eventually decided to meet. They both went on to study engineering in different colleges, with him in Mumbai and her in Nagpur.

Before leaving for Mumbai, he wanted to express his love for her, so they decided to meet in a mall. When they finally saw each other, they were both shy and there was a moment of silence. However, the silence was broken when he got down on one knee and sang her favourite song. 

"Dehleez pe mere dil ki

Jo rakhe hain tune kadam

Tere naam pe meri zindagi

Likh di mere humdum

Na seekha kabhi jeena jeena kaise jeena

Na seekha jeena tere bina humdum"

She started crying and they hugged in front of many people, completely lost in their love. He proposed to her, saying that he was sorry for being late but he didn't want to wait any longer.

They had a long-distance relationship for several years and although it wasn't always easy, they managed to make it work. They loved, missed, and fought with each other, but their friends were always happy for them and blessed their relationship. After ten years, they decided to get married and their families were happy with the decision.

However, just two days before the wedding, Samayra died in a car accident. The most memorable day of their lives became the saddest, and he lost the only love of his life. She took her last breath while hugging him, and her eyes were silently closed. They had waited so long to express their love for each other, but in the end, it was taken away from them.

This serves as a reminder to always express your love and cherish every moment because we never know what might happen tomorrow.
