'She'

She knew just one thing,

She was struggling to be herself.

She had taken the most difficult path,

In a world that constantly wants to change you,

So that you can be pretty pink in grey and blue!

She maybe me, she maybe you...

She may have a pretty face,

She may have an amazing dressing sense too!

But, she has a brain that she cannot drain,

Only because she wants to be in a house with you!

She had heard equations change when you get married...

And she pondered at the lifelong algebra credits for marriage?

She was always weak in math, never got her equations right!

So, she asked them, can I opt for another credit instead?

Maybe ... Individuality and growth?

They said, no dear, instead, you got to cook and clean,

Be good to the mean,

Bear children and still be lean,

Stop being a buttercup, a sugar bean,

See to it that you never lose your sheen!

So, She decided,

To travel and read,

See the world and take the lead,

Walk her path of passion without greed,

Where she met many of her creeds!
