Martyr
Martyr
Are you aware that you can sleep because they are awake,
Donning their uniforms their duty they undertake,
Their family, their happiness, all they forsake,
Just to ensure their countrymen no heartache?
Are you aware of their days without break,
As they patrol the border ignoring their ache,
Putting their precious lives on stake
For their nation, this sacrifice they make?
Are you aware of the honor they command
When their bodies arrive embalmed,
Covered in the tricolour, their death unplanned,
All for the love of their dear motherland?
So, respect the Martyrs, dear countrymen,
They have done everything for you and fellowmen
They do it not for power or fame
To blood and respect, they finally lay their claim.
