The King’s Game

The King’s Game

It’s just me, myself and I.

Unable to stand proudly,

Of the victory I achieved,

Around all these carcasses.

It was a fight, a battle,

In which I was helpless;

Moving a step to this side,

And another step that way.

Soldiers and knights,

And the bishops and queen,

All of them fight for me,

To make me win.

I watch their dead bodies,

Chucked away mercilessly.

I can do nothing but,

Sob sorrowfully.

It’s just me, myself and I.

Unable to stand proudly,

On the land of white and black,

Where we can come to life again.
