An infant is like a seedling

As it is always grappling

As you water it at its roots

It seeps into the strands

Of the leaves and shoots.

A child is like a plant,

It needs your love and care

Nurture it with the slant

Of thoughts good and fair.

Let the child blossom into a man

With affection to pour in a can,

A loving savior for people in need

No matter what be their caste or creed.

Let him be akin to a beautiful green tree

That shares its caring shade to all and sundry.
