History is all about kings and kingdoms

Lords and Fiefdoms

Power flows from the barrel of Gun

The king stands tall

Subjects are only subjugated supplements

King’s Story is written in annals of History

For generations to look up for the continuity and change

Sometimes new set of victors set in

Entire History of a period and persons gets rewritten

Heroes become villains

Villains get the crowning glory

In all these, poor common man

Is just a pawn in the big Chess Game

Like in Chess Board, It can only move straight

Only when there is a free square in front

His life is an endless struggle to find this space

In Democracy it is no better

Other than few seconds of fame

While casting vote

He is a perennially forgotten man

A man lost in his daily ordeal

Of only yesterday and today

And the tomorrow of dreams

That never ever came
